Ricky, your title states Connexion, but the text is about the Incendio. I think you are doing too many releases and need a rest!

Re: >>> Lumapower Brightest digital EDC : IncenDio V3 coming soon
Summary of IncenDio V3 from another threads
" Re: Is there a NEW IncenDio on the way?"
1. New optics for higher efficiency
2. New circuit for higher output
3. New UI for better control
4. Type III HA is a must
5. New tail-retainer for better operations
And more...
For more details, please keep in touch with our sales threads and your local dealers.
Basically, we have to keep it TypeIII HA in Black.
The knurling will be the same as ConneXion X2.
The primary test on new IncenDio V3 is done.
Refer to primary 123A
As we have increase the Maximum Lumens output (from original) by 1.2x
And Medium Lumens output by 1.8x
The Lowest Lumens output being unchanged.
For those who use 16340 and wants more output. (Refer to rechargeable Li-ion RCR123A / 16340)
The new setting as:
Maximum Lumens output increased to 1.4x
And Medium Lumens output by 1.85x
The Lowest Lumens output reduced to 0.75x
The new setting will boost the maximum output to a higher standard.
The Medimun output make a new balance to replace the original's High out which means better suit for daily use.
Low out with 123A or 16340 set to the same value.
The LED output does not show the whole picture as our new reflector system having more efficiency than before, gives brighter Lux readings even with the same LED output.
Details specifications will be announced in a new thread for IncenDio V3.
Refer to beamshots, I am sorry to reported that my digital camera is failed to work.
And that's why my beamshots (MT-E and Vantage) is out of focus...
So, I will prepare the beamshots with another camera and these needs a couple of days to done.
The output levels changed for usages.
1. As the request for maximum (or some called it as Turbo)
So we increase the highest output for both primary 123A and 16340.
Consider the internal resistance of CR123A can be maintaining in a reasonable value within 950mA, we set the forward current as close as 620mA.
It offers 150 Lumens +.
The runtime (Highest out) from 100% to 50% is 75minutes+
Especially with 16340, it can support higher current draw from battery.
The new Lumens out from 16340 is now over 240 (same as our D-mini VX)
- The runtime from 100% to 50% is 50 minutes +.
2. The middle out is a new balance from previous version of IncenDio.
Original High and Medium forms a new Middle Out for V3 at around 70 Lumens for both CR123A and 16340.
The Middle Out should be mostly use level.
The runtime of CR123A from 100% to 50% is 210 minutes
The runtime of 16340 is around 120 minutes.
And the Middle out is full-regulated during the above runtime.
I will post more runtime info. in a couple of days.
IncenDio V3 reference runtime graph : 19-Oct-2009
IncenDio V3 reference runtime graph : 19-Oct-2009
A protected IC being added to maintain the current within limited at 3.8V
"The Middle Out at 42minutes show the IC's functioning"
Best regards,
Ricky - Lumapower CS

Ricky, any chance of using the previous turbohead on the new Incendio? That would make for a serious pocket rocket...

With so many new choices just coming out I'd sure like to add this one to the list. When can we expect some final production photos, specs and when will the light be available for ordering?

Re: >>> Lumapower Brightest digital EDC : IncenDio V3 coming soon
Am I missing something here in a comparison of V2 and V3.. ?
Lo Med Hi
Lumens 7 40 130 V2
Time 35 540 130 V2
Lumens 7 70 150 V3
Time 35 210 75 V3
time in minutes
I only use primaries and am most concerned with run time, beam quality is a very close second. To me 40 lumens for 9 hours (540 minutes) sounds a lot better than 70 for 210 minutes, and the difference between 130 and 150 lumens is hard to see, but 130 minutes and 75 minutes is pretty big imho.
If this is the case, and based on the well liked beam of the V2, I think the V3 at least to me is a tough sell. Of course it will look better in grey. The beamshots shown seem to have an uneven pattern, maybe even ringy based on the larger pics shown (tough to see any thing in the tiny thumbnail shots other than brightness differences).
I did notice that Ricky stated he was going for more light output, but to me it is more important to have a broad, floody beam that is stingy with power use. I realize not everyone agrees with this and usually it's easier to market more light from the same package...In this case there is, but how much and at what cost is the question.
So I guess what I am saying is that
Based on the graph for V3, known specs of the V2, beamshots provided, I'm going to pick up a V2 instead since it fits my needs better.
I'm off to find one now.

Re: >>> Lumapower Brightest digital EDC : IncenDio V3 coming soon
Hi Krotchitty,
The ringy beamshots is a testing fixture and the the reflector is not mounted in perfect center.
So, we will post a new set of beamshots next week.
The runtime graph does not tells everything, with the new beamshots (plus Lux readings) will show more you need to know.
The IncenDio V1/V2 with 16340 offers max. 2000 Lux at 1 meter.
Now the new IncenDio with primary 123A offers 2040 Lux at 1 meter.
While V3 with 16340, it hit 4000Lux +.
IncenDio V1/V2 with 16340 hight-out (from max to 50%) runs for 40 minutes.
IncenDio V3 with 16340 max-out (from max. to 50%) runs for 73 minutes.
Hi regulator, gunga
Thanks, and I will try to post product photos as soon as I can.
Best regards,
Ricky - Lumapower

Very nice, Ricky.
Is there perhaps a clip to go with it?
Is that black or grey HA?

Re: >>> Lumapower Brightest digital EDC : IncenDio V3 coming soon
Sebast, you now have the Smart UI. 3 levels, with memory (should be low to high) and also you can lock it into any 1 mode using 4 1/2 presses. So the light becomes a single mode, tactical style interface.
I'm glad to see the body lockout feature, and the redesigned tailcap and new knurling. The new switch module should be more sturdy and reliable too.
I hope the new clip is nice and robust.

Thanks Gunga! Tactical mode is interesting. My only little complaint is the lack of lower low, but it's perhaps time to try my first Lumapower flashlight
