TW1 Set! **SOLD**
Special TW1 kit! The KL1 has an SSC U2SWOH emitter behind the TIR optic. This is Seoul's hottest P4 emitter, and provides an exceptional beam with the optic. Here is what the builder had to say about the mod:
Quote:
|
Compared to the stock KL1 (with the Lux III) this one is over 100% brighter. The beam is virtually identical also if you're worried that the Seoul is not compatible with the TIR. The Seouls generally require an 0.020 shim to raise the LED plane to the same height as that of the Luxeon.
|
The kit includes an E-Series incan head with a single-cell lamp assembly. One E1L, with clicky tail switch.
All 4 parts of this set are mint!
$125$115 + PPI (Paypal Fee, Priority Mail, Insurance)**SOLD**

Re: TWO TW1 SETS!
Does the KL1 head on the E1L body still have the two stage (Hi/Lo) capabilities? What is the lumens on high for this flashlight?

Both lights are single stage...on.
Lumens? I don't know the drive current of the stock circuitry, but I'd guess about 150 emitter lumens.

Re: TWO TW1 SETS!
So if you buy the E1L you get a two heads right, a incan and a modded Led head?
Forgive my ignorance, but what does TW1 stand for

Re: TWO TW1 SETS!
Correct. Each set includes a complete E1? with incan head and lamp, body and tailcap, as well as a modded KL1 head with a U2SWOH emitter.
TW1 is a light combination created by Tactical Warehouse (hence the TW), a former light dealer on CPF. a KL1 makes a TW1, a KL4 makes a TW4, and so on.

Re: TWO TW1 SETS!
I'm just starting to get a feel for these Surefire lego permutations - so pardon my newbie question - but:
1) Is there a tailcap option that would make it a two stage? I seem to recall the L1 is a tailcap driven two stage design but don't know if it is compatible with the heads...or even available conventionally as an aftermarket - or is there a McGizmo two stage (can't remember if they were E or C series compatible...).
2) Can either head be used with RCR123's? I'm guessing the LED head is OK but not the incandescent...
Thanks!
Phil

1. The Mc2es aleph tailswitch modification can be installed in Aleph tailcaps and in some Surefire tailcaps. It's a 2-stage mod which uses one of several different resistors to provide low. However, I have had trouble using it with Seoul emitters. I don't know why, and it hasn't been with all Seoul emitters.
2. RCR123's are fine for the LED heads, and can also be used with the incan head, as long as the lamp assembly you use will handle the higher voltage. Both Surefire and Lumens Factory sell LAs which will work with RCR cells. The LA provided with each set is for 3V max.
