Introduction to NiteCore® and its New Product from EDGE Tactical Light Co. Ltd.

EDGE Tactical Light Co. Ltd. was established in Guangdong Province of China since 2001, who mainly runs professional flashlight OEM and ODM developing and producing business. The General Manager and Vice-Manager of Technology are both experienced flashaholics and outdoor activities fans, and our Vice-Manager of Technology is the one who designs and makes the specification details for tactical flashlights used by police officers in China 2007. This year, in order to develop our own brand name, we invite experienced designers and engineers from other famous flashlight companies to join us. We believe, by learning and making good use of the strongpoint of other flashlights, and combined with our company’s six-year-long producing experience, we will be able to have the most perfect lights for customers all over the world. For the moment, we own two brands, NiteCore® and RaidFire®. Of the two, NiteCore® is designed to meet the need of the EDC tactical lights; RaidFire® on the other hand, focuses on large-scale and professional tactical lights. Here, I am honored to announce the official release of our first product----NiteCore® Defender InfinityTM.

Shared with you our Designers' Story:

EDGE Tactical Light Co. Ltd. designers S.M. Tse and C. Lee are both persons of utmost-pursuing. One day about half a year ago, these two flashaholics sat together to chat after lunch, surprisingly found that they had the same opinion about the tactical flashlights currently available ---- too big in size, not suitable for every day carry actually. They got inspired by this topic and shared with each other their ideas, which were so alike, then, they decided to develop a kind of tactical lights together. This light should be convenient for carry and compatible with regular batteries, and the best EDC lights for those living in the city, therefore, comes NiteCore® Defender InfinityTM

Using high efficiency CREE Q5 LED and circuit, though in really compact size, NiteCore® Defender InfinityTM is able to throw high light-output of maximum 190 lumens, and combined with tactical forward clickies switch, making it the best choice for EDC when dealing with potential threats or emergencies without difficulty; Built in high efficiency fully-regulated circuit not only assures the high efficiency of transferring but also enjoys excellent regulating capacity; By adopting unique Infinitely variable Digital-controlled Brightness System and simplified UI (user interface), users can set any levels of output for this light by themselves easily, even the most fastidious flashaholic will find it satisfying; Using only one AA battery, NiteCore® Defender InfinityTMcan perform continuously for 100 hours (using Energizer E2 Li-ion battery), making this small and exquisite stuff really reliable in the case of urgent rescue in natural disasters.

*About Infinitely Variable Digital-controlled Brightness System

NiteCore® Defender InfinityTM adopts unique infinitely variable digital-controlled brightness technique, which enables customers to set the brightness levels by themselves only through rotating the bezel of the light. And the switching between brightness levels is smooth, no longer with limitation of preset brightness levels. Customers will be able to choose the output level they need according to different environment; also, they can set a really very low output level in order to achieve prominent long time of continuous using.


*About Dual-CoatingTM Technique:

In order to increase the transmittance of light, the lens used in professional flashlights usually applies antireflection coatings technique. But as everyone knows, lens and antireflection coatings, exposing outside, are both very vulnerable and easy to have rubbing abrasion due to frequent daily use. And when our engineers are studying the technique of antireflection coatings, they find that, the antireflection coating plated on the outer face of the lens actually has no use of increasing the light transmittance. Aiming at this phenomenon, they finally create this unique technique ---- Dual-CoatingTM so as to solve the problem. As to this special technique, it’s by plating a layer of antireflection coating on the inner face of the lens, which can effectively help increase the transmittance; while plating a layer of diamond coating on the other side of the lens (the outer face). The diamond coating owns extremely high light transmittance and the capacity to protect the lens from abrasion. That is to say, Dual-CoatingTM technique provides with these extremely high light transmittance and extraordinary anti-abrasion capacity, making it the most suitable and unique coating technique for flashlight lens.






*About 550 Parachute-cord

Parachute cord (also paracord or 550 Cord) is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope originally used in the suspension lines of US parachutes during World War II. It is nominally rated with a minimum breaking strength of 550 pounds, thus the sobriquet “550 Cord”, and is very popular with the military due to its high elastic capacity. Thus, sinnets braided with 550 cords and together with glow-in-dark cord ends will be the best choice as tactical lanyards.

Warranty Service

EDGE Tactical Light Co. Ltd. warrants each NiteCore® Defender InfinityTM flashlight to be free from defects in materials and workmanship. Our obligation under this warranty shall be limited to replacing or repairing any NiteCore® flashlight or part thereof returned (prepaid) to us and found to be defective in either material or workmanship. This service will be provided free of charge for parts or labor within one year counting from the date of purchasing. Misuse voids warranty, expressed or implied.

NiteCore® flashlights enjoy the brand's warranty service worldwide. Within 7 days after receipt, any defective lights will be offered free replacement by NiteCore® distributors unconditionally; Within 12 months after receipt, EDGE Tactical Light Co. Ltd. offers free repair after service, except for damages caused by misuse. As to those exceed the above time period, EDGE will still provide with warranty service, only repair charge should be included. Customers may contact local distributor or EDGE Tactical Light Co. Ltd. for warranty service. Please be noted this warranty service does not include the followings:

1. Damages caused by disassembly or modification without permission;
2. Damages to the appearance caused by misuse or incidental happening (such as crash, knock, squeeze, etc.);
3. Damages caused by misplacement of batteries or battery leakage.

Curious, how come the nitecore website is down? SEems odd with such a big splash annoucement.

ALso, the free replacement warranty is for 7 days after order. SInce it usually takes more than 7 days for me to receive a lights, shouldn't it be 7 days after receipt?

Thank you! There seem to be sofeware problem with out web... We tested yesterday, and it was fine. I have contacted the engineers to repair it.
Also, the statement of warranty service has been edited, thanks for your advice!
