FS: MERKAVA DIY Tritium Glowrings

Merkava DIY Glowrings available in Green, Yellow, Blue, Orange, White & Pink .

Picture is magnified and overexposed in order to display the color pink...which is blue if underexposed

The Merkava DIY Glowrings are painstakingly put together by hand. Each is approximately 5mm x 30mm in size.
Smaller profile and more stealthly than the Nite Tritium Glowrings and slightly brighter due to it's translucent shell. The tritium vial inside the Merkava DIY Glowring is more break/crack resistant than the Regular Nite Tritium Glowrings when dropped or thrown due to it's protective layer of silicone which absorb shocks and vibrations and does not rattle.

*So long as you don't consciously abuse them like crushing, bending or use it as a lever to pry stuff, the Merkava DIY glowring should be able to withstand all the "normal" abuse your keyring in your pocket goes thru every day.
Many don't use them as keyrings (you have the Nite Tritium Glowrings for this purpose) but attach them to somethings else for easy identification in the dark.

Anyway. I'd love to hear feedbacks (both good and bad) from owners of the Merkava DIY Glowrings on what they do with them and what kind of "abuse" they have subjected them through?

Don't try this but mine have survived the washing machine...but your milage might differ.

*Uses the same 3mm x 23mm Tritium vials as found inside the Nite Tritium Glowrings.

The DIY Glowring Keyring comes complete with an Ice Blue, 3mm x 23mm Tritium vial already in it. All you need to do is attach a flashlight, knife or gadget to it's stainless steel keyring and you are ready to go.

mcmc, as seen in the pics. there are bubbles in the DIY glowrings. I am working to minimise or totally eliminate them altogether. Remember, each DIY glowring is made manually by hand.

Received my DIY rings today. I like them. Seem to be much more substantial than I expected. I really like the small size -- they have much, much less bulk. They do appear (in the dark bedroom test) brighter than one of the Nite blue (about 6 months old).

I don't use a Nite on my keys because of bulk, but I'm going to try one of these. I have glowrings on several around the house lights. These will be great for that.

This seems to be a good, creative solution to the bulk problem of the older rings.

Omegaman, I have a tritium pathmarker manufactured in 1988 and it's still glowing after 18 years.

Just some pics. I haven't a Nite blue glowring, but I have a green one and, even if I think green is the best for visibility, these Merkava's blue glowrings are bright enough to be seen without difficulty. Their small size makes them very useful.

To answer to Omega Man, tritium has a half-life of 12,32 years.

Anybody tried to remove the traser from inside these DIY glowrings? Just curious how hard it is.

Also: any breakage problems? PM is fine; just trying to see what is available because loose trasers this size are seemingly scarce right now.
