Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. It nice to know you have friends out here, but I must ask that you please stop. Don't take it personally, however I don't want this to bubble into a big deal. I am truely appreciative of your well-wishes, however things are fine.
I tried to PM you, but you do not accept. I feel responsible for having started this thread. It looks like it is not going to stop, despite Ray's request. Maybe you could do something?
Cheers to this_is_nascar! He is one of the most knowledgeable contributors on CPF! As for CC attacking him... Go figure!
CC Quote...
"Unfortunately Speed Racer lives on the other side of the country and Mr. Mcfeely (from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood) doesn't make Speed Racer very happy with the long delivery time. Speed Racer does not understand that the person around the corner gets their gear the next day and Speed Racer’s gear can take 10 days."
10 days! Maybe Mr. Mcfeely needs a wake up call and be introduced to Federal Express!
I have had numerous good dealings with Nascar but I did find it curious that he asked us not to taint his "Jeers" posting with our own contrasting "Cheers".
A good guy to deal with. I've bought a lot of stuff from him. And I enjoy his repressed humor -- sometimes it just leaks out.
Ray and I have had quite a few dealings and transactions; would have been more if I'd been quicker to catch his great deals in B/S/T.
I trust him implicitly and he does what he says and says what he does. I see him as an active member of the forum who has added in a positive manner to the collective "personality" of the forum. I believe Ray has grown with the forum, as have we all. Heck, he is modding SF product these days. If I'm not mistaken, I can recall him giving me some grief last year for not leaving a manufacturer's product well enough alone.
Recently, some of us have perhaps fallen a bit from "the high ground" where we would like to travel and with some climbing and course redirection, we can get back on track.
I think Ray holds high expectations for himself and others and is not one to mince words. You know where you stand with This_Is_Nascar and you can be certain of firm ground.
BTW, Ray,
If you read this, the 5W McLux is in the mail and I "will" respect you in the morning.
Bought a pelican m6 silver from Raymond
Fast shipping and more then decent packaging. Came pretty fast also. Thanks, great doing business with you again.

Craig, If you'd like, I'd be more than happy to put an O-Ring on your KL4 at no charge. If you're interested, PM me.

Very gracious of you to make this offer. So many things that are easy for one person, are difficult/impossible for another, for any number of reasons.
You are a gentleman, to be sure.
I could likely put an O-ring in a KL4 head, but I'm certain that I'd scratch and ding it up, doing it.
I can reload 500 rounds of 9mm in an evening, and I 'sell' it to a friend for the cost of the components; about $3.50/box.
He thinks I'm practically a saint, but he couldn't afford to shoot nearly much if he had to buy ammunition at the 'normal' price of $7/box or more.
To me, it's just a small amount of time and extra work, and little enough to do for a friend.
And I can't solder an LED to a circuit board to save my life, but I can install car stereos, which often require (Or I should say, I prefer to) solder and shrink wrap the connections.
Everyone has some skills that seem extremely difficult/impossible to other people.
I also install Lifeline telephone equipment for the elderly and disabled, as a volunteer. They always give me the most complicated installations, which are pretty easy for me. I'm the only installer in the program who isn't retired, so I know how to deal with TTY, Fax, home security, computer equipment, etc. all on the same telephone line.
If more people had your attitude, the world would be a better place to live in.
Thanks for the kind words. So many folks have helped me here along the way, it's the least I can do in the spirit of our CPF community. My skills are very limited in what I can do as it relates to MODS and handywork, so if I do come up with something that I can do, I don't mind sharing that. Besides, Craig's contributions to CPF have been shared by all of us. If there's something I can do to help in return, I'm all for it.
This is what CPF is all about. This is what being a CPFer is all about!
If you can't do something, chances are somebody else can. I took "This Is Nascar" up on his offer - how could I refuse? If he can do a job that I cannot, and he offered to do it (for free, no less!) how could I possibly refuse???
Thank you very much in advance, T.I.N.
What would we do without Ray. He is always fast with the shipping and has great deals. I just purchased his Surefire E2O Super Package and he does beautiful work. Thanks again Ray.

I got my KL4 head back today, and it's as good as new - better than new actually, since I can suction the other end of the flashlight and it holds a vaccume.
Used to leak like a sieve (or a colander) - you could use it as a straw in an emergency.
So I'd better say it again...THANK YOU VERY MUCH, T.I.N. I just noticed that Ray offered to replace a broken lexan lens on a L4 for a cpf'er and thought it was nice of him and totally in the spirit of things here and worthy of mention, nice going Ray.
