    Default V10 Question

I love my V10Rs (and my V11R). Tan V10R, Black V10R with AA adapter, V10R+ ti with AA adapter, black V11R. All XML pocket rockets. Love 'em.

Question - ONE of my V10Rs will not work without the AA adapter. If I switch bodies around, the combinations will work. It works fine with the AA adapter. Clearly there's an issue with the head and body of this particular light - no or limited contact. Too much anno, maybe?

Should I scrape some off the threads? I tried scraping a little bit off the threads, but it's tough anno - may have to sand it off or something.

Any suggestions? The good news is that I love these little lights and I can just use this one as an AA, but it has my favorite control ring and I'd like to pocket it as a 123 version and that's the only way it won't work!

    Anyone?

I think sanding the threads would be a sensible thing to do. Does the 123 sized cell stick out from the regular tube that is not working (checking spring length) as it may not be making contact with the positive pin on head.

If the battery is not sticking out slightly it might be worth extending the spring at the bottom.

Thanks, for the response! Actually, considering all the differing configurations I tried, I doubt that it is the battery issue. In addition, I tried a very thin magnet on the positive button of the battery. i.e., that tube worked with a different head, and the head worked with a different tube. Same battery both times.

So I'm thinking that thread sanding maybe the ticket. Thanks again for taking the time to respond!

I appreciate your offer, I will consider it. I am not certain that it is worth the trouble to me, but I'll consider it.

    Thank you.
