and repeat customers should do what this thread did. bait, tease, and then
redirect to FB (seen the news lately ? FB is a sour name all around) and still no product info.
I am sticking with companies that simply do not BS and dilly-dally around

it is not a game when someone wants my money for their product...it is business and should
be taken seriously.

I am basically done recommending thrunite to friends...I don't want to be the person
showing thrunite to other people and then have them wonder what is wrong with this company marketing practices

Now now guys, hang on. Thrunite are not a little bit company in the flashlight world, they're a big player. I also feel their new releases (TN30 & TN31) buy them some real cred in terms of what they can make in terms of high power and inovation. The TN31 would have to be one of the brightest, if not the brightest production XML flashlight on the market at the moment, at least before step-down. So if they're making big claims on this new light, it should hopefully be something at the upper end of production output lights. DD customs, triples and quads will likely beat it but if it's a single emitter with 1 18650 that is close to north of 1000 lumens then this light is of serious interest.

Just keen to know how far away it is? i think part of the fun of these teeser threats are the updates, including letting us know their challenges, issues and problems. So I'm simply asking Thrunite to bring us along the development of this light- let us know what's going on. We're all interested in what goes on in the R&D/test production stage of new lights, especially ones that are a leap in output.

So, the ones being offered for the $5 promotion, are they the firefly version? The website says they are, but it also said there were 5000 in stock (I guess in my mind that's not a small amount, but I guess I don't know what ya'll at ThruNite consider to be a "very small amount").

Also, as others have asked, are colors available for this promo, or just the black?

Yesterday I wanted to order one for $5, but wanted to ask about mode version and color options first.
A right way of a customer-flashagolic. No matter how cheap you offer it.
And now I need to pay $11 for the same light ? If it's so this is not a Crazy deal ever.
But if you'll send one 5-buck light per person it would be great and I'll spread info about your company to my friends
who are not into lights. After all it was the main idea of Thrunite - to promote their lights.

Sad, but not surprising.

Yesterday I wanted to order one for $5, but wanted to ask about mode version and color options first.

And I didn't want to register from work computer. Then again, $11 is still a good price for Ti. Without knowing about the original promotion, we would be very happy for the ~30% off sale price.

On the other hand, personally, I am not too keen on registering to many different web stores. If it is just the black 3/60 lumen version and for $5 more I can choose 3lm or firefly in colors elsewhere (and without registering), I will probably be skipping the new promotion.

Both specs are listed on that website but it is not made clear which one the buyer will get. I believe they said somewhere, that they had only some firefly versions but lots of 3/60 lights. Just guessing, but perhaps the first ones were firefly versions and then they changed it to the 3/60 version (the stock was less than 100 units, but went up to some 5000 units). Of course, it should be clear which version is for sale.

That page needs improvement - models should not be combined.

It's no longer such a great deal anyway - too close to original retail now.

If it's a single-cell single-emitter... I'd say, at least for the first few minutes, it's 900–1000 lm if cool white U2 bin XM-L (I'd be very much surprised if you'd managed to push a single XM-L past 1k lumen) or 1000–1200 lm if SST-90.

Anyway, since my main use for powerful flashlights is trekking/camping/spelunking, I'm mainly interested in battery runtimes on "sane" output modes (20–80 lm), rather than max brightness that'll inevitably drain the cell in like 40-50 minutes and boil the skin off my hands in the process. Let's see if you can beat ZL's SC600 in that regard! That would be some real feat.
