I have three recently finished knives available for sale right now, more details to follow below.
Traditional Japanese straight razor grind, with one side hollow-ground and the other side flat-ground. The hollow grind was done free-hand with a convex file.
My typical laminate construction, using a full-woven carbon fiber laminated to Titanium with a carbidized edge. The edge on this is VERY fine.
Handle made from translucent G10 with a Tagua nut backspacer. The whole package is exceedingly lightweight. No lock, as this is a more traditional friction folder type, but there is a stop pin.
Here's a link to my blog post about it with more pictures.
Novacularis Vulcanus
I am asking 350 dollars for this one. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
Next up is a knife design that I call the Hobbes, named after Thomas Hobbes.
If you go to this link The Hobbes you can see some more information on the knife, along with a number of pictures.
Since those pictures were taken I've made a few changes, all of which are detailed in the below pictures.
Most notable change is that the texturing now wraps all the way around the handle, and I made some minor contouring adjustments as well. I should note that the handle is deliberately quite short, although still very secure. If you have giant ham hocks for hands, it will probably not fit you very well. My medium/large mitts fit perfectly.
I'm asking 270 dollars, as this has been carried and I made a minor goof which you can see in the very first picture, which is a small divot right by the guard area. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
Lastly, is the Pilum, the first and so-far only symmetrical dagger that I've made. Made entirely by hand, except for some minor dremel work.
Overall length is right over 7.5 inches, with a blade length of 4.1875 (roughly). Blade width at the widest point is right at 1.25 inches.
Handle has my wrap-around dimpling texture that provides great grip and comfort without tearing at your skin or sticking on your clothes. Center of balance is right at the finger choil. Extremely well-balanced.
The construction is my usual 6AL4V Ti laminated to non-woven high-grade carbon fiber. Handle is jade-green G11 composite. The edge has been carbidized and it's quite sharp. It will take the hairs of your arm with ease.
The sheath that it comes with is Concealex and is able to be used in a variety of ways. OWB on the belt with my shock-cord attachment system, attached to MOLLE with the shock-cord system, and on a static cord IWB. Back of the sheath has a piece of foam rubber attached. This helps keep it in position on the belt or inside your waistband.
OWB, carried horizontally, it disappears under an untucked T-shirt.
The handle, while short, provides plenty of grip and is as mentioned above, quite comfortable. Being symmetrical, it works in a variety of grips.
It is incredibly lightweight and impervious to sweat and other moisture.
I'm asking 350 dollars for this one. NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
I accept payment via USPS Money Order, Dwolla (Preferred) and Paypal cash. I could potentially accept a personal check, but be aware that there would be an extended wait until I've verified that the check clears.
Shipping inside the US is included, which also covers APO/FPO addresses. Shipping outside the US, as in not to an APO/FPO address, will require additional cost. I charge cost of shipping for that, no extra fees for customs forms or what-not.
Lifetime sharpening is included (My lifetime, not the knife's.) for cost of postage. I also guarantee my work against defects. However, if you use any of these to pry with, chop hard materials, rake hot coals from a fire, or really do anything exceptionally stupid with it, you're on your own. These knives are exotics in the same way a race horse is and are not meant for every-day utility use. The primary purpose is self-defense.
