Default Mark A. Laramie Damascus 2-blade Barlow Gent's Knife FS - LAST Reduction!!!!

    Hello All:

Looking to sell or trade my sweet little Mark A. Laramie (MAL Knives) Gents Barlow Slippie for something more "Tactical". Carried the knife maybe 20-25 times in a pocket by itself, opened some mail and maybe a box or two. Nickel-Silver bolster comes pre-microscratched - the high polish shows EVERYTHING, unfortunately. I've only tried Flitz and polishing by hand, and it helped but didn't remove it. A trip back to Mark and a few bucks and she'd look like new. I'm not sending it to the spa because I'm fine carrying it the way it is if it doesn't sell or trade), but nothing major. A light scratch on the main blade (the main clip blade is 2.4", the secondary spear is 1.7"). There is a small ding on the brass liner in the back, which I couldn't even get to show up on my pics. Otherwise my crappy lighting makes the pics look WORSE than the actual knife... The scales are now some nice stag, I had Mark replace the brown jigged bone it originally had (I traded for the knife, it had most it's character marks before I got it) REALLY improved the classiness. I just don't remember who made the Damascus, but it is not SS, and I've been keeping the blades (and everything else) RenWaxed. Walks and talks great. Overall I'd give it a 96-97% condition rating. Not a showpiece knife, but something I've been proud to carry and show off. It's been carried at weddings, used to open Christmas presents, and to show off to folks who think a $25 knife is expensive... You can see a sample of Mark's work at his site - http://www.malknives.com/ and on the gallery page there is a small pic of this knife before the scale swap.

It's nice - too nice for me to use for what I normally use a knife for, which is why it's on the trading block. Basically, looking for something more hard use. I'd consider a large or small Sebbie, Strider PT or SnG, Higher-end Benchmades or Spydercos - A Lionspy would work, or a rarer sprint run (high performance steel) Military or Para Military. There are probably 100 other knives that would work in a trade that I haven't thought of yet, so feel free to throw out any ideas. I could do some cash up or down, depending on the knife. The trade bait need not be mint - it will be going into my pocket, but no beaters either. Something in similar condition would be great. Have well over $400 into it, will sell for $279.98 shipped insured, CONUS only, sorry. A USPS MO would be great. PP OK. But prefer a trade.

    Thanks in Advance for Looking,
    Greg
