Since I have gotten my ReVO, I have been using the Duracell alkaline that came with it. I have been telling myself the whole time that I need to replace it, since alkaline cells, even Duracell, have been know to leak, and the ReVOs are out of production.
Today, I got some Duracell rechargeables with the white top (allegedly, rebadged Eneloops). I dropped one in, tightened down the bezel, and nothing happened. I put the alkaline cell back in, and it works again, though it's skipping a little worse than before.
It seems to me that the problem must be in the tail spring. I'm thinking that the rubber gasket that holds the spring in place is catching on the square edge of the rechargeable cell and preventing it from making contact with the spring. Is my spring compressed too much? I think it is one of the older version of springs. Has anyone else had this problem?
Also, what is wrong with CPFMP today? When I made my initial post, every time I hit enter, it added the line to the top of the post and I had no cursor. I made the post and then edited it and I can do normal text editing stuff, now.![]()
