The review on Budgetlightforum.com mentioned in the OP has side-by-side comparisons with nice photos. It appears to be basically the same light with improvements to address two criticized flaws in DQG II. The o-ring has a proper slot separate from the threads to eliminate shredding and a foam donut has been added under the head to prevent battery rattle.

Maybe the body from III fits the head from II. If so, owners of II may have a fix to the o-ring shredding issue if Ric offers the III bodies separately.

Are there any differences from the previous version?

1. the O ring slot is more precise, DQG III wont eat and damage O rings like version II.

2. The tail slot has been deepened for 0.5mm~1mm, so the GITD or magnet wont been pushed out. landyard loop is stronger.

3.foam donut added under the driver, battery rattle problem was solved.

4. Machining is better than DQG II, body finish is flawless, you can not see any tiny scratch.

The budgetlightforum review says it has no memory mode, and always starts on low which is much better to preserve night vision.
So which is correct?

Are the NW in stock or pre-order?
I placed an order through cnqualitygoods.com for a NW today and order went through as if in stock and ready to ship, but there was a notice stating "will get back in stock around 10th April, Pre-order is available". Fancyflashlights.com does not show the pre-order notice.

Cetoiencore, good point. Ric had linked to BudgetForumsLights.com review and there the reviewer (clearly and repeatedly) states that the Tiny III does not have any mode memory. Have you read the review?

Received mine today, very good quality product
Feels nice in your hands.

Only complain might be the threads are too smooth and the o-ring is not thick enough to avoid the head turning easily.

I'm ready to order now, but somewhat puzzled by the different order webpages. How should I order to get the group price, and how much is it?
The Fancyflashlight site says $35, and the original cnqualitygoods says $32, discounted to $27 for orders of more than 20 units --> is this the group buy option and price?

threads are too smooth and the o-ring is not thick enough to avoid the head turning easily.

the head will turn less easily (or much less easily) once you apply some silicone grease. silicone grease is "a lube" such that the threads arent dry anymore but it effectively INCREASES the friction in the threads (or between the threads).

i use it to SEAL flashlight threads, i.e. when the threads are never to be unscrewed. please try.
