One more level. A real low low. This is the perfect light. I'd like to see one more level added, a .05 or 1 lumen level. Something low enough that it won't hurt to use with completely night adjusted eyes.

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll keep that in mind for a future version.

We make a difference!
How about a neutral tint ?
What a great day to be outside.
no thanks. i completely disagree. 3 levels on a keychain light is standard and the most one would really want on a keychain light. maybe make the i3 in stainless steel or in titanium?
i bet my fingers you wont.
because of the unlikable keyring hole. (the itp a3 had a perfect unobtrusive keychring hole: small, centered, symmetrical, and the keyring wouldnt bother. the keyring of the i3 is super annoying. unacceptable design! yes, tailstand capability is important but look and learn how other flashlight brands solved this problem!)
I have to feel that the Olight I3 changes were a results of the squeaky wheel getting the grease, that they listened to people suggesting changes but did not realize the people who didn't want the changes, had no motivation to seek out a forum to post about it.
Several things seem no better or even worse to me with the design changes from A3 to i3. Making the light longer so it can have tapped screw holes is worse. I LOVED that I could reverse the clip on my A3 and use it on a hat as a headlamp. I liked the higher efficiency of the prior A3 boost drive circuit BUT I hated that A3 switched to having low mode first. Last thing I want to do with a twisty light is to have to twist it more than once just to get a good amount of light, I strongly prefer (will never buy a light that starts out on low mode) having medium mode first.
I'd also like a i3 model that has only one mode with that mode being closer to the medium mode on the 3 mode version, so it runs for more than an hour on its only mode.
Lastly, it would be nice if it came with a removable rubber sleeve for the body tube. This would make it much nicer to hold the light in your mouth and make it grippier without grating against your teeth due to the knurling. I ended up putting a piece of heatshrink tubing over the body tube on my A3 to achieve a similar effect.
I agree about the clip, but love that the clip is more secure and that it can tailstand - since this is more of a pocket light than a keychain light for me, good changes overall (though I am also sad about the size increase and loss of the clip-reversal-ability).
I'm actually the opposite about the levels - I won't buy a M-L-H light, and have swapped out my few M-L-H heads for L-M-H ones...maybe if you have any we can trade?
Agree on the one mode (would be great to gift) and agree on the rubber sleeve accessory.
i love my new i3 - use it constantly but often am bummed it doesn't have clip facing the back (apparently that used to be an option) to clip to hat brim . I have a quark 123 i use on a cap but it's too heavy. I would strongly recommend O light re configure this so that clip can face the other way. this light would be awesome. Love everything else about the light. feel it doesn't get enough attention on CPF w all the talk of the fenix lights - I think this is much better.
I would love to see you guys bring back the upgraded model, I think it was 96 lumens. Perhaps add that back as "turbo"? Combine that with a moonlight mode, and bam. Perfect 1xAAA light.
Did you really mean 0.05 (i.e. 1/20) and 1 lumen? In my opinion 1.5-3 lumens is ideal for a low mode, since it's still quite easy at that level to find one's way at night with a slight bit of throw to see one's surroundings, with night-adjusted eyes. I wouldn't quibble about the addition of another moonlight mode, though-- just wouldn't use it much except for reading, and would hope it wouldn't come on first.
Note the thread on the new i3s: the low mode has been switched as low as 0.5 lumens. The clip has also been fixed back to the A3 design-- bravo!
I loathe M-L-H. It's one of the major drawbacks of my iTP A3 EOS Titaniums. If one prefers high as the first mode, it's last in the order; and if one goes (as I do) by the way of thinking that prefers low-first for reasons of least disturbance of others and night vision, plus efficiency, medium first is a big no-go. I also can't imagine buying a single-mode light, for any purpose; I simply can't understand the market for lights like the E05.
I don't think that the off-center keychain attachment is a negative. Who cares if it hangs perfectly straight? Now it tailstands. The attachment point is also more secure on the i3 than the old A3; I've seen someone report that their aluminum A3's attachment point wore through, and I have one where it is noticeably a bit thinner than when new.
A rubber sleeve is a very nice idea.
I haven't tried the Bronte, but I feel that the A3 and i3(s) are both superior to the Thrunite Ti and Tank007 E09.Originally Posted by kreisl

I'd call BS on that. The original Ti with the .04 lumen firefly was and is better than both the iTP A3 and O Light version. I have them all and I use the Ti the most. Why? Primarily the runtime and the low low. The A3/i3 has horrible runtime on low and way below it's advertised claims. The Thrunite Ti EXCEEDES it's low runtime claims. The only thing that bugs me about the Thrunite Ti is they no longer make it with a .04 lumen low low firefly but call the 3 lumen it's firefly which is misleading.

I have not seen the Ti version of this light available. Is this model currently available from Olight distributers? Thanks.
