[2012 New EDC LM series] Better performance and Lower price

Hi friends,

As most of our value customer ask, and we make it now.

The 2012 new EDC LM series with totally 6 members which fit for different kinds of batteries.
They carry the same features as Good performance, Low price and more...

We will start to ship the new EDC LM series to dealers by next week by 2 stages.

4 models first and then 2 models follow.
The first 4 models are : - LM21, LM31, LM32, LM33 And then LM22 and LM36.

Here is the basic info. about the new EDC LM series :

LM21 : fits 1xAAA size batteries : Alkaline, NiMH and Li-ion (10440)
LM31 : fits 1xAA size batteries : Alkaline, NiMH and Li-ion (14500)
LM32 : fits 2xAA size batteries : Alkaline, NiMH
LM33 : fits 1x123A size batteries : CR123A, Li-ion (RCR123A, 16340)

Unlike the prev. LM series, we switch all coating to Type III HA.
We add the output levels from 2 to 3.
As most user perfer Dim than Low, and we done.
So, all LM now with Dim and very long runtime at this output.

E100 : 2xAA Battery tube : USD12. (The 2xAA battery can only be use on LM33)

Due to our mistakes with the runtime database.
We have redo runtime test on New EDC LM series and found that the inedx of our prev. database was wrong which cause we post the runtime info. with error.

Before we prepare the detail graphs to post, here is some update reference :
The NiMH we use is brand new open for test and which may not be in best performance stage.
Basically, NiMH needs at least 3~5 cycles (charge and discharge) to obtain best performance.

LM21 with Alkaline (until 50%) :
High : 23 minutes (prev. 20 minutes)
Med : 105 minutes (prev. 160 minutes)

LM21 with NiMH (until 50%) :
High : 45 minutes (prev. 42 minutes)
Med : 200 minutes (prev. 260 minutes)

LM31 with Alkaline (until 50%) :
High : 45 minutes (prev. 55 minutes)
Med : 250 minutes (prev. 240 minutes)

LM31 with NiMH (until 50%) :
High : 85 minutes (prev. 110 minutes)
Med : 350 minutes (prev. 480 minutes)

LM32 with Alkaline (until 50%) :
High : 32 minutes (prev. 25 minutes)
Med : 180 minutes (prev. 80 minutes)

LM32 with NiMH (until 50%) :
High : 120 minutes (prev. 75 minutes)
Med : 450 minutes (prev. 240 minutes)

LM33 with CR123A (until 50%) :
High : 55/150 minutes (prev. 45/120 minutes) [120 minutes until DIM to 1 Lumens]
Med : 205/350 minutes (prev. 150/280 minutes) [280 minutes until DIM to 1 Lumens]

Sounds cool, a more basic 3 mode light aimed at EDC. Hope that makes them affordable. I love to give flashlights as gifts but most good flashlights are above the price that I would want to pay for a lot of gifts for people.

Just wondering, but why use an XP-G rather than an XM-L?

Hi HidBlue,

When we consider an EDC flashlight, battery source is one of the main factor.
The EDC LM series with primary cell : means limitation to current feed to LED.
Unless you use Li-ion (professional user), and they need to take extra care about battery's chemistry.


So, it won't make visible difference with XM-L (but cost more) when we drive it 200mA~650mA.

We also need to consider the reflector size.
Basically, the reflector for EDC is small in size.

So, it is better to use LED with small die size.

No the EDC LM series is not a replacement to any of our current models.
The design details are not the same.

IncenDio with more upgrade options, removable pocket clip, SMART UI...and more.
But you can expect the EDC LM33 is BRIGHTER than IncenDio when use with primary 123A.

Is the LM32 powered by 2xAA or 2xAAA?

The text says "LM32 : fits 2xAA size batteries : Alkaline, NiMH" while in the chart says "LM32 - AAA x 2 Power LED Flashlight".

I think the LM32 is AA powered, but just to make sure!
