All the lights in the thread are current regulated. The g5 is single mode. The x10 has the s12 driver so it's Low-high.

I received my yellow Solarforce with 1.4A XM-L and it is a very nice light. That shallow reflector really works. No do-nut beyond 5 inches, and center spot is bright, bright, bright. I can only guess what the brightness would be with 3+amps to the LED, and I am sure it would be a super thrower. No heat issues at all, of course, at 1.4 amps to the LED, but the throw really surprised me. I may be getting one of the higher amp XM-L's with that shallow reflector in the future.
