Supposedly they attempted to deliver the light on March 2nd (I was home and didn't hear any knock at the door), and they didn't leave a delivery attempted notice. The light was returned to the Lakewood Post Office, where it sat for the last 3 weeks without any redelivery attempt, with a notation on the package that it would be returned to sender on April 2nd.

As to the important details, the light was shipped in a tear-resistant envelope and was securely wrapped in bubble-wrap with lots of tape. There was no tearing or puncturing of the external envelope. When the light itself was unwrapped, it was in perfect condition - no scrapes, bashes, etc at all. My AW 2600mah cells fit snugly with no forcing required, the light fired up just fine, and has 15 minutes or so total running time so far with no problems.

From the other posts on this thread, it seems that I am one of the lucky ones WRT light condition and functioning.

LOL - At least it arrived, intact!

And - HI! You're in Lakewood, I'm in Lawrenceville.

Wow, any closer and you would be able to shine the lights on eachother. I am quite certain that BVH would probably have something that would reach that far!!!

P.S. Hey Teej, is it actually pronounced as "Teej" or "Tee J"

My nickname since ~ kindergarten was TJ

2-charactor screen names are hard to come by, so I use variations on the theme.

Some friends morphed the versions of TJ, Tee Jay, Tea Jay, Teej, etc...into one syllable over the years...so the "J" ends up sounding like a soft G as in beige, or even a harder G as in ridge, etc.

Some have also morphed it into a DIFFERENT two syllable version, with an "-er" on the end, as in Teejer.

So, I have some friends who call me all versions, depending on mood, and some who use one or the other, etc.

    The original/base-line is " T J " as two syllables though....and that's how it sounds/is pronounced ~ 90% of the time.

Well received my light today. This is my second light the first one the bulb came broken. It was packed in a box with foam along with bubble wrap around the light. So because of this the light was perfect. As for some of the people saying Ric took some time to get back to them. I understand why you would be upset. But for me he was able to get back to me with in that same day as emailing him. Most of the time it was late at night or early in the morning. I think this is because of the time difference. I think there was one time it took 2 days to get back to me. Some of the times it wouldn't be Ric but it would be his assistant Mary. Well lately it has been Mary. So I'm not sure why some had trouble with communication. But besides that the light is very bright. So far the brightest light I have. I'm very happy with it so far. We will have to see. I've only ran it for 15 min so far. I'm hoping it holds up. Anyone have any problems with it after having it for awhile?

I've been in contact with Ric over my DOA light the past 10 days. His positive attitude and personal service has been second to none. I must say it has really turned around my terrible experience. He has agreed to send me a new light together with a little gift for my troubles. Hopefully, the second time round, the goods arrive in good working condition. If they do, I will definitely buy from CNQ again.

Yeah like I was saying now its packaged good It should my light was perfect. My light was also DOA. Broken bulb the first time. I was going to have ric just send a new bulb but decided to send it back and get a new one. I'm really glad I did. The new one is Prefect condition and bright as hell. I also plan on buying again from Ric. He and Mary have given me awesome customer service. But again I can see why some would have been frustrated. But again It does seems CNQ have lived up to making it good if something did happen to the light in the end.

Got my package yesterday from Ric, I must say I was a little nervous after getting a DOA light last month from dodgy packaging, and also reading about all the damaged and DOA lights on CPF. Ric lived up to the highest expectations by delivering me my replacement light very well packaged in a sealed box, not in some cheap plastic bag with shreds of newspaper as protection like what happened last month. Throughout this ordeal, Ric has been prompt with his email replies and a true gentleman, so much so that I ordered 2 more lights and various accessories from CNQ during the time that I was waiting for my replacement light to be sent. He promised me that if there were any other problems, he would do his best to make it right. No need to test that promise as this time, all my stuff arrived quickly and in 100% working condition.

I'm not saying that everyone who had a bad sales experience would be guaranteed a positive outcome, but it seems that Ric is the type of person who works hard to protect his business reputation and if you're willing to work things out fairly for both parties, Ric will do his part.

Wasn't involved but read the thread anyway as I'm buying stuff from CNQ.

I have to wonder why this thread was a) made a sticky; and b) why it's still here.

It serves no useful purpose anymore, if it ever really did. The 'complaint' it addressed has been satisfactorily rectified and is almost a year in the past. Remove this thread as a sticky!

Came across this thread while searching to find out whether CN Quality Goods is reputable.

I received a SkyRay King and (4) Trustfire 18650's. Packaging was good, however flashlight had some nicks and evidence of use! The flashlight works fine....just a little odd. Now the the batteries.....a different story:

    (2) batteries were sent in a fully charged condition (4.20v)
    (1) battery was completely dead. Displayed 0 volts. After a small charge to reset protection...displayed 2.1 volts.
    (1) remaining battery displayed the proper shipping Voltage of 3.85v but had a cut in it's wrapper

Numerous Emails to CNqualitygoods have not been answered. Not getting a warm and fuzzy with this company. The cost for me to return batteries is not feasable.

    Any Ideas?

    Mike
