Light up the Night Lantern Sale!
1) One ultra-rare in the United States Gentos Explorer EX-777XP warm white LED lantern. Great shape with that classic Favourlight UI. Includes Kroger Supermarkets sticker on top of lantern (see slideshow)
2) Two American Camper lanterns, both in great shape. One smells faintly of cigarettes, one does not. Both include 12v cigarette adapter plugs, which snap right into the front. These lanterns are amazing during car camping trips, blackouts, Boy Scout outings, etc. You can grab a cheap 12v wall adapter, and plug them into your house outllets
3) Sears Camping Lantern, has seen some wear—works, but shows use. There is a brown stain in the base of the tray; see photo for details. You can also see some corrosion on the post (see photo). One of the bulbs shows darkening (normal with use), though it probably is nearing the end of its life. I have an identical unit to this one which I am keeping. We installed a barrel plug on it, and now we can use with a wall-wart!
The two American Camper lanterns take one 12v battery, while the Sears lantern takes two 12v batteries for extra long runtime! SLA users, now you have a 12 volt solution with no inverter required!
4) Coleman 8D Lantern, works fine, does have some chips where the battery compartment cover meets the bottom of the housing. Please see the pictures in the slideshow (link) for details
5) A whole slew of "D" NiMh batteries. I got fed up with them because they are not all holding a charge properly. Many have developed high internal resistance. I know some people on these boards are talented at restoring these cells with fancy hobby chargers. So if you can get a few working, cool. If not, use them as ankle weights. Again, these are included in the sale, but on a "Hope you have better luck than me" basis. If you can get three going, you've just got yourself free power for the Gentos!
6) Just for kicks, I'll throw in one vintage, pre-"C" Maglite, new in the package. The package will have wear/cracks in the plastic, but the light itself has not been touched or handled since leaving the factory in Ontario, CA.
Hurricanes? Thunderstorms? Frequent blackouts? This Light up the Night Lantern Sale has got you covered!
