Hrm...I contacted Armytek 3 days ago inquiring as to where this line of light is available for purchase. No response. This talk about new products has been going on for months....If you're going to unveil a new product please ensure it's available and shipping before doing so. I'm moving on...
will you offer OP reflectors for the first 50 CPF discount buyers? if you do I'm in!
and does it come with finish options (gold silver black?)?

Order placed.
I want to place an order, but would like a strike bezel. Can you do it?
I don't think the Viking X has a strike bezel, but I might be wrong
Even without the strike bezel, I guess ArmyTek did a good job implementing a cigar ring

It came in today! I ordered it on the 25th. Holy smokes that was fast. Great light and great customer service!
@ArmyTek
I see you went for a simpler driver / software. Does the light still employ a failsafe mechanism as the Predator does?
Personally a little less stripped down version of the Predator would have fitted me more. ;-) The Predator UI is a little bit to "powerfull", but no being able to customize the brightness levels seems a little outdated today. ;-)
PC-based USB programming of simple UI which can be done with unscrewed head and micro-USB port inside seems to be up-to-date.
To be honest, I don't think so. I see three major issues in the Predator's programming feature, that are not related to its complexity per se:
1. The programming commands are not always easily recognized by the flashlight system, e.g. I had to screw-unscrew-wait several times before being able to access the programming mode. It means that either the system is not "flexible enough" to understand input commands, or that the commands are not intuitive enough to allow an easy interface (I work in user-experience design so I might give you some tips of advice).
2. The manual is not very clear, hence more errors when the user tries to program their flashlight.
3. Some users (at least... me!) have encountered some bugs; furthermore there is no easy way to go back to the factory settings when one gets lost (e.g. as a software command or a hardware switch in the head would do).
I own an HDS and a Scurion (both somewhat complex, especially the Scurion that allows you to define the number of levels as the Predator does), so I use to program flashlights and feel confident with that level of complexity. Moreover I do love the possibility of choosing my type of regulation (and I actually did it because it was really useful to me), I do love the possibility of memorizing my settings, I do love the possibility of selecting the number of levels, etc.
I think "experts" do love them as well while "non-experts" can ignore them.
I'm looking forward to the high-CRI releasePlease tell me when you can offer it!

how many modes does this light have?
I think in total maybe four, five if it has strobe. First line is always max, and the second has the rest of the lower modes. I think this is what it means.
I'll take it!
