Long time lurker here but I decided I should join...

Wondered how Rye drinkers were here on the forum. I started using Sazerac Rye many years ago when making the classic New Orleans drink the Sazserac Cocktail a,d have learned to appreciate it in other mixed drinks and on the rocks as well. It is a unique taste for a whiskey and I think very refreshing and enjoyable...

Are you having any trouble with "Acid Reflux" suddenly and unpleasantly ,
waking you out of a sound sleep ?

That's why I can't do the hard stuff any more .

I'd rather take a pill (for the reflux) than give up the booze! (but I drink gin or vodka)

I seldom have more than one drink in an evening...never had a problem with reflux despite the high proof of the absinthe.

I enjoy Rye myself. I think sours taste better when mixed with Rye instead of Bourbon. A true Manhattan calls for Rye. Sazerac is great, I also like Pikesville Supreme:
