    Dear Cottonpickers:

Just sent PayPal $40for one Double Current Sensing Smallest Charger in the World w/ Display and upgraded IC, 90ma / 470ma, Lefty, w/ 2 sets of leads. I would be much obliged if you could make the croc leads extra long, approx 10" OAL.

    Regards, RVW

RVW: I'm afraid I can't lengthen the leads for the display model (only the non display model) The croc leads are about 20cm and I will include a USB extension that I hope helps you reach the cells etc.

Tobrien: the nimh Nona will be $70 or $75. it's not quite production ready (mainly because they are taking over 3 hrs to make them -eek) but I've completed and sent out 2 and and have some changes that should speed it up a little. If you want the third pilot one I'd be happy to do it for $60 with the understanding that it may have a minor flaw visually as I make changes to the case. Otherwise production version is likely to be a few more weeks

WSCWD and the Nimh-Nona pilot arrived yesterday.
As always very fast shipping and great service

Just a question about the Nimh-Nona:

If I charge a Nimh, I set the switch to the off position (display off or on ? ) then I should see the same blue led as if I charge a Li-ion?
All I can see is a very very dim blue glow. Should the blue led have the same brightness as if charging Li-ion's?

    Thanks

    Hi Emu,
Yes, put the switch to Nimh Setting (for the standard Nona's this is the 'off' position ;-) The display switch can be either on or off , it won't matter (partly because the display only shows Li-ion voltage - below 2.8v its blank) You will see a secondary LED light up that goes out when the nimh cell is charged. On yours, you can see the LED in the second small hole a little higher up where the second LED is. Make sure you test with a flatish nimh until you can confirm you can see the second LED.

    Got it
Charged my first AA Nimh with the Nona

This little black cube is just awesome.
For my next trip, all I need is the Nona and I can charge all my Li-ion's from 10180 up to 32650 plus AA and AAA

    I mean that's cool

I hope you can reduce production time for this genial thing... 3 hours

    Great work, David, thanks !

Nofearek9: 14500's are about 750mah (despite any labeling!) so a 400ma-600ma is a nice charger. I can do a 450ma or a 600ma for $17 delivered. If it were me, I'd go with the 600ma.

Yes, should be OK - most commercial chargers are around that amount. You could push it up to 700ma which is close to 1C on the 14500 if you preferred. Being solar I often push the envelope a little on the top end as in the UK cloud often stops you getting 'full' charge - Cyprus may be different though ;-) hence the 600ma recommendation - but its your call.
