Default AW's LiIon Batteries Sales Thread *Part 12*

    *
    *
    *
Quality Batteries By AW with a Proven Safety and Reliability Track Record Since 2005

    Part 11

The original thread is getting too big so I 'll re-organize here :

    __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _______________________________________________

    AW P18650 -31

    - Built with these LiNiCoO2 NNP cells.

    - Three triangulated raised dots ensure solid cell to cell connection when used in series.

    - PCB protection against overcharge/ over discharge / short circuit.

    - Safety vent with thermal cut off protection.

    - Heat Resistance Layer (HRL) technology that forms an insulating metal oxide layer between the positive and negative electrodes. The layer prevents the battery from overheating even if a short circuit occurs.

    - Featuring a new polyimide insulated ultra thin (0.09mm) pcb connecting flexi strip that is heat resistant to 500F ( instead of a bare metal strip ). This new polyimide insulated flexi strip will protect the battery from a direct short in case the outer plastic wrapper of the battery is torn / damage. The new design also makes these 3100 the slimmest protected 18650-3100 available.

    SPECIFICATIONS:

    Nominal Voltage : 3.6V
    Capacity : 3100mAH ( rated at 0.2C discharge 4.2V - 2.5V @ 25℃ )
    Operating Temp. : Charge 0 to 45℃ / Discharge -20 to 60 ℃
    Recommended Charge Rate : max. 2170mA ( 0.7C ) - ambient temp. 25 ℃
    Max. Discharge Rate : 6.2A ( ambient temp. 25 ℃ )
    Dimensions :18.50 X 68.16mm ( +/- 0.3mm )

    Price : $19.75 each

    Notes:

    (1) yes, with spacer
    (2) yes, with adaptor (such as wires with alligator clips)
    (3) yes, but it will take a long time due to low charging current
    (4) no, charging current is too high
    (5) only in pairs, otherwise charging current may be too high
    (6)
only one charging channel, so the charging current will be split when it charges two cells at once (see note 5); the DSD charging current depends on the 'wall wart' transformer that is used, the normal stock unit seems to be 350-400mA but some people have used transformers with higher current ratings
    (7)
dual independent channels, so if two cells are charged they will both see the rated charging current; the UltraFire WF-138 charging current is 250mA per channel; an Additional Feature of the WF-138 is a 4.2V / 3.6V selector for charging 3.7V or 3.0V LiIon cells ( the recessed switch is designed so you won't accidentially move the setting, you'll have to use a paper clip to change the setting manually )
    (8) dual independent channels, so if two cells are charged they will both see the rated charging current; the UltraFire WF-139 charging current is 450mA per channel
    (9) The 10280 cell is a shortened AAA cell that has the diameter of an AAA cell but the length of an N cell

Help Re: AW's LiIon Batteries Sales Thread *Part 12*

I'm confused, are the 18650 AW 2600 mAh a protected cell or not?It looks like a protected cell from the summary you provided but everyone seems to be specifically avoiding calling it a Protected cell. What gives?

Do you ship to Australia (3044 Postcode) and if so how much would shipping cost for:

    Hi AW,

I would like to know where is your battery made with 18650 cell with finished size of 19670? I recently bought from you some AW P18650-26 thinking it was them (since Henry from HDSLIGHT is selling some 2600mAh ones) and the two I got from you are too wide to fit in my RA Clicky tube.

Can you guide me and tell me what I should order so I will have 2600mAh that will fit in my RA Clicky tube? (18650 cell with finished size of 19670) I don't see it on your selling list...

    Thanks!

MeLLoJeLLo : The size of my P18650-2600 measures 18.52 X 68.16mm ( +/- 0.3mm ). If the ones you have are 19mm in diameter, you can return them for exchange.

I didn't know I could exchange them so I really tried to make them fit by removing the black plastic around one of them. They never got the chance to be used once. Can I return them even if the black plastic is removed on one of them? If no, I'll return the one that is okay.

What is your address for shipping it back? You can PM me or better send an email if you need discretion.

    Thanks!

I was interested in getting setup with RCR123s. Does the WF-139 come with the requisite spacers to charge these? Thanks!

I'm still trying to figure out if I want to start using Li-ion rechargeable's due to safety concerns regarding chargers for them.I've been looking at some hobby chargers.

Does anyone know if the AW P18650 2600mAh Protected cells should be treated as Lilo or Lipo or LiFe type cells? It's quite confusing.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
