I'm looking to add a new XL USB panel at one end and new micro panel at other end -improve the add-on kit next week.

For now I have a couple XL panels with charger that are ready to go. These put out 3.5 watts or 705ma - In combination with the included li-ion charger will allow the charger to work at full 400ma charging, with some headroom when sun is not fully out.

Being a little larger (16cm X 16cm) compared to the large panel (12cm X 12cm) they are also able to charge your other USB devices quicker.



See post 1 for price. Will also add a nimh charger suitable to work with solar panels (not delta V)

received my large solar panel and charger today!

Thanks for the fast shipping and exciting product. I do a lot of backcountry hiking and am looking forward to using this beauty. I love the flexibility to be able to charge LiIon cells by themselves, or to charge phones, mp3 players or anything that you can plug into a standard USB port. I have one of those small USB charger cradles for my AAA eneloops which is working just fine. I will try to get some approx charging times together as well.

Charger is extremely lightweight and very small.

I am working on rigging up something so I can mount this panel and charger on the top part of my pack so I can be charging and walking at the same time!

How is everyone carrying their solar panels? I want to throw it in the bag I take to work, but I worry about scratching/beaking it.

Adamjh3 - I carry my large in a side pocket in my rucksack (its a fairly flat pocket) I haven't done a 'stress' test yet, but so far i haven't had any break either in transit or in carrying. hth.

Hi,

i tried to send you 2 PMs but they did not seem to get through. So I am posting my queries here.

I have very little knowledge on this kind of device and would appreciate it if you could help to answer my queries before i decide to make the purchase.

I intend to purchase either one of the following:

a. Large Solar Cell + USB Li-ion charger + nimh USB charger $43 incl Int shipping

b. XLarge Solar Cell + USB Li-ion charger + nimh USB charger $49 inc Int shipping

However, I am not sure which of the above is more suitable or efficient for the batteries i am using currently, see below:

a. Protected 18650 3000mAh Li-ion
b. AA 2700mAh NiMH 1.2V
c. AAA 700mAh NiMH 1.2V

In additional, I would also like to include a micro LED Votage indicator together with one of the packages above.

Finally, do you have any solar charger that can charge 2 batteries at the same time?

Please advice and also quote the total cost of each package, including the micro LED Votage indicator.
