Default FS: Custom Paracord survival bracelets: Part II

    (...continued from here.)

I just acquired some different colors of 550 cord and some 3/4" fastex buckles. I made a paracord bracelet for myself and thought I would offer to make some for folks on here. If you are not familiar with these, many soldiers wear these in order to carry a length of paracord with them easily. And, I suppose, also for the "coolness" factor. All parts are mil-spec...the 550 cord has actual strands inside instead of fibers so that you can use both the inner strands and the casing for different uses. The buckles and the cord are mil-spec and made in the United States -- not imported.

Price will be $20.00 + $5.00 shipping via USPS with DC for any number of bracelets up to a pound...that's a lot of bracelets! Postal Money order only, please. If you have some other payment method in mind, please send me a PM.

I will only ship within the US.

    1 bracelet for $20
    2 for $36
    3 for $51
4 or more would be $16 each.

These are HEAVY DUTY. I saw some on eBay that were $15.00...mine have 6 strands of 550 cord inside the braid instead of 2 (like the ebay ones), so it is much more substantial. It takes a little more time to do them this way as well. If you want one of the cheapie ones with only two strands, I can do that for $15.00, but it will not be as nice as the six strand one and will slip around on the fastex buckle at the ends. Some of the ones I have seen around have monkey's fists on the ends to secure them...they are also only made with two inner strands, as stated above and feel very cheesy compared to mine. The ones with the little balls on the end may be "cute" and all, but the ones the real soldiers wear are not made like that. Neither do they wear ones secured by ball chains and they do not have the cute little metal beads woven in. And...mine are CUSTOM FIT!!! Made to order! No need to be "sized down".

    The colors I have are:
    ACU Camouflage
    Desert Tan (light tan)
Sand (very light tan, AKA buff)
    Coyote Brown (dirt brown)
Desert Camo (3 shades of tan + black flecks...AKA "MARPAT")
Multicam (OD green + 2 shades of tan)
    Black
    Foliage Green
OD (olive drab) green (just regular old, Army olive drab green)
Dark OD (Slightly darker shade of OD)
    OD green with reflective tracer
    Maroon
    Yellow
    Red
    Royal Blue
    Navy Blue
    Electric Blue
    White
    Charcoal gray
    Silver (dingy white)
    Burnt Orange
Safety Orange (This is what *I* started calling this color years ago when I first started offering these...the manufacturer calls it something else, so if you see anyone else calling it "safety orange", they copied me.)
    Neon Yellow
    Neon Pink
    Neon Lime Green
    Rose (light) Pink
Pink camouflage (various shades of pink all in one cord...would look good with purple and the neon lime green for the 80's look... )
Kelly Green (Emerald or medium green, really)
    Red/White/Blue cord
    Turquoise
    Teal
    Purple
    Royal purple

I also have quite a bit of white cord that is the type sailors would use. It would work well incorporated into a bracelet also.

I have 3/4" buckles in foliage green, tan, and black.

If you would like one, please let me know your wrist size for the wrist you intend to wear it on. For proper fit, it should be measured with a fiberglass tailor's tape (cloth ones stretch over time)...or -- cut a piece of paper, wrap it around your wrist until it overlaps over the thickest part...the wristbone, mark where it overlaps and then measure the length with a ruler. I need the exact measurement to get it to fit correctly. Please do not add any extra to that measurement or it will not fit right. If you do not do it this way, the fastex buckle can catch your skin and leave a bruise. Trust me...you do not want to do this. It smarts a bit.

As these are custom fit, I will need payment first and then I will make your bracelet. I will make them as soon as possible and will try to ship them within a day of payment...usually, they'll go out the same day! I am a US soldier and am selling these in order to generate some funds to upgrade my personal equipment. I also enjoy making them and hope that folks will be impressed with the quality and enjoy wearing them.

I have a new style bracelet I wanted to go ahead and offer here now...it is the Type 1 Rescue bracelet. If you need your cord deployed in a hurry (like, a few seconds) and don't have time to mess around untying a cobra bracelet, this is the one you want.

Unfortunately, they take a VERY long time to make (around 5+ hours or so), so cost a bit more than my superior cobra-knot bracelets.

    Here are some pics:

They are $38 shipped to your door (within the USA).

The colors of this cord are limited, unfortunately. Right now, I have the following in this cord:
    ACU camouflage
    Multicam
    Black
Ranger Green (looks VERY close to olive drab (OD) green to me) with black tracer thread
Camo Green (looks very close to foliage green) with yellow tracer thread
Khaki (close to coyote brown...I can't tell the difference between the two, but the manufacturer called it khaki...)

I have some white cord with different color tracer thread for ID. I may be able to get some more cord in the same size, but it will not be mil-spec like the above cord is.

    Thanks for checking these out!

    Pretty stuff.

The only thing I've survived is stupidity AND I don't like wearing stuff or I would buy one for the sheer looks.

    Great job!

Well, thanks for the post! If it helps, some folks buy them to attach to their rucksacks also. I know a lot of people that don't like things on their wrists too, but they'll attach them to their pack to carry some extra cord.

Yeah, I love cool stuff and it never fails to amaze me how handy some people are (which I'm not) including you obviously.

IF I can figure out what to do with one, I just might get up with you and till then, keep up the good work

I'm having another package sent to me soon and can take requests for other colors again...just let me know what you'd like and I'll get it here. I do have many subdued colors here for immediate use though.

Here are the current color selections I have available for immediate use:
    Foliage green
    Olive drab green
    ACU camouflage
Desert tan (two shades...one slightly darker than the other...two together would make a very nice desert camo type configuration)
    Coyote brown (small amount)
    Multicam (small amount)
    Black

    Thanks!

Please, please, please....(PLEASE)...read this entire thread for full information on order fulfilment and color selections. I'm trying my hardest not to be upset at folks for sending me "feeler" PM's or similar...if you'd like to order bracelets, I would be thrilled to make them for you and send them. If, however, you are dead set on having it made with cord that is orange with purple polka-dots or any other color I do not have with me here in Iraq -and- you want them to you overnight, I am sorry, but I cannot do that.

I am more than willing to source any colors you like, but please keep in mind that I am in a third-world country in a combat zone (with very, VERY limited space) and it takes time to get the cord to me.

Please see my previous post for a list of colors I have available here for immediate use.

Thanks again for all of the orders so far...I truly appreciate your support!

    JM-99

Edit: I thought i had made this perfectly clear earlier in this post, but apparently there are some people that just are not "getting it", so i will reiterate.

I am stationed IN IRAQ as a result of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. What that means is i cannot just walk over to a mailbox and mail your stuff, ok? I have to go TO ANOTHER FOB which has an APO on the single day off i have per week and then ship your items. All the while, i have to explain to them that yes...i really can ship a parcel as usps first class if it is under 13 ounces and yes, i can insure it.

Then, they may or may not ship your package right then. Military mail is carried on what is called "space available" basis. Without giving any OPSEC info out, you should understand that shipping mail back to the US is just not a priority for military flights at this time. That is why i said before that it takes AT LEAST two weeks (usually three) for first class mail to arrive at its destination from Iraq. I have absolutely no control whatsoever of when they get your package on a flight, ok? I make the bracelets as quickly as possible and i ship them as quickly as possible. Those that have ordered from me before are impressed with my high quality work and attention to detail and have told me they are keen to wait, but if you are under the impression that you can receive a package from Iraq to the US in a handful of days, you are incorrect or misinformed.

In any case, if you are patient and can handle waiting a bit for the mail, i believe you will find my bracelet worth the wait. If you want "fast" at the sacrifice of quality, well...i cannot get these to you any more rapidly than i am already doing and I am shipping them as fast as i can as it is.

To those that do "get it"... (usually, those that have already deployed), thank you for your patience and understanding, as always.

So... how many feet of paracord goes into these?

If you take the bracelet apart, as if you were going to use it for survival, how long will each of the six strands be?

    Thanks.

I have plenty of coyote brown cord here now...in fact, I may make myself a bracelet in tan, coyote, and olive drab in recognition of the Army switching to multicam for the new combat uniform...

Anyway, please PM if you would like to place an order. Thanks!

    Hi Jumpmaster,

Are you currently able to make regular lanyards in addition to the bracelets? I think I would like to get a bracelet as well as a lanyard made. Thanks!

    Thank you, ninemm!

I should have safety orange cord here in a few days in case anyone else is interested in that color. I think it looks nice with the foliage green...even if not necessarily "tactical"...:-). It is a good combo.

    Happy Easter, Everyone!

Sweet. Looking forward to the bracelet and lanyard! Think you could switch up the lanyard to be foliage and orange instead of acu and orange? Thanks jumpmaster!

I need three regular 12 inch parachute cords lanyards for keys etc...they can be any color...bright color prefered. I live close to Bragg but all my buds are overseas. Can someone help me on this?

Uhhh...yes, I can do these for you. Be advised, I am also overseas at the moment. I will be home soon, though...I think...hopefully?

Anyway, once you have one more post, you'll be able to send me a PM...I'll need the snug wrist measurements for each bracelet without any slack added to the measurement. I will adjust so that it's comfortable.

    Thanks...

    JM-99

P.s. To the other fellow, yes...I can ship to APO addresses, no problem. Sorry, just now saw your post.

Ok, well I have recently redeployed back to the US and can begin making bracelets again. Shipping from an APO is incredibly (and unnecessarily, imho) difficult. I could go into detail, but...not here.

Anyway, so I am back in the good ol' USA and welcome all orders at this time. I am also thankful for the kind words, encouragement, and prayers for those that offered them. They were much needed, appreciated, and I am certain helpful.

Thanks again for your support and interest in my bracelets!

I'm making one for myself in the Iraqi Campaign Medal colors (well, three of the colors anyway) in red edges, black core, and light desert tan weave. I'll try to post pics when I've finished it.
