Not sure how the measurements are made, but Lumapower says 64mm and I measure 50mm on my Solarforce Pro 1.

the solarforce doesnt have an sst50 yet so I guess time will tell which throws farther. I love how large that is though.

somebody in a german flashlight-forum told me, that a new Version of the MRV SK is coming. (MRV SK 2.0?).
He said, that it will come with a XP-G-LED.
Is this correct? Or is there something else planned for a thrower like the MRV?

So are you saying that the MRV has met its end? As I understand it was a good platform because of good heat sinking ability.

I dont think the signature is as good for that. Am I wrong?

Have no idea about heat sinking......but the lights are the same size as the MRV, has sidekick, same 280 lumen LED. It is an MRV just a newer version.

That may be, but the MRV is a sturdier light I have an early MRV and the SST-50 Signature and the MRV will take a lot more abuse. I can fit the Signature in my pocket, but not the MRV.

From a user's perspective, I'm not sure I would consider the Signature a replacement for the MRV. One can servce as a light duty large EDC light, the other is a light to keep in the car/gearbag/desk/camper etc.
