    Wink2 Sold: 75W BarnBurner HID

As some of you may have noticed, I haven't posted awhile on CPF. Its mainly due to my interest of flashlights is no longer what its used to be. So I am selling off my BarnBurner HID. Yes this is the legendary 75W Xeray with 8500 lumens.

Heres a size comparison of the BarnBurner against my ancient 15MCP Thor

And here is whats included. Case, BarnBurner HID, extra battery, strap, AC charger and manual.

The BarnBurner HID is previously owned which means if you were to buy it you would be the third handeler. With that said, the BarnBurner is in very good condition. Maybe not brand spanking new out of the factory, but I would say very close. The Phillips Dl-50 bulb installed has been modified when I removed the ceramic coating on the return wire. This pretty much eliminates the shadow of the return wire from showing up in the beam.

I am not expecting to make a profit but to get around the same price i had payed for it. Asking $1300 shipped to only United States. Payment can be cashiers or personal check.

UPDATE -10/15/07 Barnburner is sold pending funds

UPDATE 11/2/07 BarnBurner is officially sold

I have seen one of these in action, and I must say, WOW, that sucker is bright. Good luck on your sale and whoever gets it will be amazed, to say the least.

I figured this is right inline with the fair price for one of these, and I posted my basis in this thread. Good Luck NAW ! The BB takes top honors, and I seriously doubt there will be a useful, portable spotlight that will outperform it.

I have been attending Photon Fests at Milkyspit's place for the past several years. The BarnBurner has been the single brightest light at those events hands down ever since they were released.

I'd love to own one, but after my recent Ti binge, I'm unfortunately tapped out.

Best of luck with your sale, that thing is just a monster.

Well if it helps your stategy.... my wife only know it cost lots... but not how much... I just told her to trust me that she didn't want to know!

And I told her to go and buy her a nice dress so we would be even... that seemed to suffice!

By suggesting a dress, it limits her imagination to the price of the BB being within those limits!.... no use in revealing more than you have too!

If your a hard worker and bring in the bacon, she may give some grace in her imaginations... if she is bringing the bacon... I don't think I would chance it!

If you've been married 25 years like me.. that gives you more grace too!

You know, I just have to say, the roll of toilet-paper appears to be sitting on the most comfortable toilet I've ever imagined... I'm just not sure I understand how to use it.
Sorry, I just couldn't help it.

And you get a free bump for an incredible light. Someone buy this before I earn several phone calls from my mortgage company and a dip in my credit score.

    Please.

Wow this weekend was really busy. I have three people now interested in the BarnBurner. But I'm still giving the first person some time to make a decision, so sorry for the inconvienence.

Worth noting that I believe those spare battery packs are selling at XeVision for $200, so keep that in mind for the nice value. I think you can get a spare bulb if you ever need one.

Finally, it is my opinion that there will never be a brighter hand held spotlight than this 75W quality ballast driving this 50W "Fatboy" DL-50 bulb. This is a well designed performance/weight/price/quality spotlight, and I will always keep the one remaining model I have.
