Bushman5 - I'm not sure of your question.
If you are asking about stock 1.5v alkaline batteries: NO
2 x 1.5v = 3.0volts of power for a 7.2volt bulb ... yields a severly underdriven bulb.

An very nice combination to drive the 1274 bulb would be (2) of AW's Li-Ion C-cells along with a modded tailcap (Fivemega or Mirage_Man) to make everything fit.

Another nice bulb would be the 1111 on the same cells.

Litho pretty much answered your question.
Check with AW's post for bat sales and grab a cpl of his protected "C" Li-on and you will need a charger or holder for charging from one you may have.

I have plans and most parts for building 2 dif versions of LED 2xC Li-on Mags. One with 5 small reflectors and one with a single LED and lrg reflector. For a mid sized light the setup from above is just incredible. Keep in mind that this is one of my first hi-out incan lights.

Hope that helps a little and Litho gets some more bulbs ready soon for ya.
