Thanks guys. I had seen those in my search but I only posted the newest ones (i.e. from after he disappeared from CPF).

You know I don't even think he thanked all of us for his wedding gift (as in all the money he spent to make this happen!!!).![]()
-"Must control self"-
....
So, since we are not going to get our items, how can we get him? I have given up, I get no more replies from him at all.
This has been eye opening on judgement!!
Can we parlay this into a positive? Maybe a "work together" with some of our builders to actually make a Nano? (even farming out the BOM to other willing members?) I know it doesn't do anything about the $$$ but, just as a "put it to rest"?
I don't have a horse in the race but would buy a "CPF nano" if part of the proceeds went to these folks who lost it all.
I know Karma works in strange ways and I do not wish harm on anyone, this case has brought me close.

Any updates?
The only update would seem to be that many of us paid for a nice honeymoon for AWR and will get nothing in return.
Looks like Andrew has got off Scot-free with the loot!
Maybe dirty pool....but has anyone thought of notifying the IRS?
Dollars to doughnuts that AWR didn't declare that $20,000...
Andrew Rouse is unquestionably a liar and a successful thief, and has left a lot of victims hating him. That's a dangerous way to live when your photo, address, and personal information are so readily available.
Apparently a couple of angry people made arrangements to change Andrew's luck. He deserves what he gets...

Terrific runtime, incredible spill, a difficult EDC, and enough lumens even for me: SIRIUS
Yes, it is definitely one of his pages.
When you bring up this particular sub-section of his site, and there are many, yet another photographic testament to his own awesomeness (as are most of his other site sections) appears.
Funny... check out the left frame. Click on each gallery, especially those titled "Friends", and "Buddies". Notice that photos will appear in every one, except those two.
I'm an excellent driver. Of course I don't have my underwear... I'm definitely not wearing my underwear
What's really sad is the fish sign on his car, and the pages about how he is a 'minister' of the Christian faith. Some Christian.

Holy crap, this guy lives like 50 miles from me.
I haven't had any dealings with him, but I see he has wronged quite a few people.
Any suggestions?![]()
Maybe you could pay a visit on our behalf.
I'll be willing to pay for your gas. Let everyone living there (mainly his wife, because she should know that we paid her way here) and his neighbors know what a scam he is and how he took our hard earned money. Find his church and let the members know. Shame him in his own neighborhood would be enough for me. I don't think i'll see my money. I contacted and filed everything possible short of flying there myself and kicking his @$$ just for the principle.
I'm a flashlight NEWBIE!
Wow, just wow. You guys gotta check this out.

I'm a flashlight NEWBIE!
So whats going on with this guy? I hate seeing this kind of crap happen to people. A few years back I got scammed out of a few cell phones. Although it was only $900 I still felt impelled to get the money back.
I see you guys have his address, or his "address". Why not do a reverse phone look-up and call him? You have is first an last name call his parents. This is how I got my money back.
I am in Atlanta, GA and I scared a guy in Illinois to a point that he mailed me a check for the money.
The main thing is to be persistent. It took me almost 3 years to get my money back. I called the guys neighbors, parents, and all his relatives int he Illinois district. I politely asked if they knew Brandon and if they said yes thats my "grandson, son, friend, neighbor...etc etc" I politely told them the story of what he did to me. How he lied, and stole money from me.
I had emails out my eyeballs from him stating that he sent the items. Then once I called him he played stupid. Once I started to lay out the facts that I had a IP address that linked his house at this address his parents started to listen.
I filed in small claims court here in Atlanta, GA. Then the case had to be sent to a court in Illinois. I sent it up there and a sheriff delivered the papers to his parents (this guy was 27 so once a police officer sent a court order to his parents house they knew it was serious). Almost a week after the court order was sent to his parents I had a check in the mail with an apology letter.
Let me know if there is anything that I can help you guys with. Give me names, numbers, address's anything and I can post up any other information I find. I can possibly get you parents names, local Head PD officers names that you can talk to about getting this guy.
I just REALLY hate seeing this crap happen, and I would LOVE to see this guy go down.
Its not too late to do anything. Right now would honestly be the best time to do it. He has let his guard down. He thinks he got away. I bet a call to his parents, neighbors, the local PD could change a few thing...lol
There may be a fairly straight-forward way to extract a little payback from this situation.
It could involve a considerable amount of organization along with relinquishing your rights to most if not all of the money your owed.
If that can be generally agreed upon, you could then contact one or more collection agencies in the Racine area and explain this situation to them.
They may be able to act on your behalf to sue, obtain judgment and then proceed with collection against AWR by lien, garnishment and seizure of goods. In return, they will want a considerable portion of the money your owed.
If the agencies can determine beforehand that AWR has easily attachable income and/or assets, they may even offer to purchase your rights to the money outright. It may only be pennies on the dollar, but it's better than nothing.
We've all heard about the distasteful tactics these agencies employ to collect money, and they're known to escalate their efforts dramatically when they own the rights to the whole debt.
If the total sum is adequate, more than one agency may be preferable. They're usually restricted in the number of calls and visits they can employ over a given period of time. So employing three agencies, for example, may triple the odds hidden assets could be found etc.
Anyway, something to think about. The amount you recover may be miniscule at best, but with one or more collection agencies hot on his tail for the foreseeable future, this guy will seriously regret pocketing your money. Especially once interest, court costs and collection costs are tacked on to the total they're going to make every effort to collect.
Finally, if you can all agree to each toss a few dollars into the fray, and one of you has access to good legal cousel, independent legal advice before proceeding as a group is a must.
That's incredibly funny. Not only did the guy defraud a lot of people to the tune of more than $25K but he claims to be a "born again Christian" and to make it even more interesting, he claims to be on a mission from god:
"I have a new 'mission from God'.. to get the word out about the EVIL of Evolution... I call it 'evilution'. I am in absolute AWE from the work of Dr. Kent Hovind and his ministry: 'Creation Science Ministry'. Please go check it out.. bookmark the page and come back. Dr. Dino shows how the root of many evils in this world.. stem from evilution."
Couple of thoughts on that... Hovind is in prison, it seems he too defrauded someone... the federal government. http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Evangeli..._for_tax_fraud Too bad that it looks like AWR won't be joining him.
another interesting quote from AWR's personal testimony is this one:
"I was conditioned over my entire life not to tell people how I feel, but to show them through actions."
Really??? seems like ignoring a couple hundred people whom you have stolen from while belting out excuses and blaming those very same people for your problems is kind of the opposite of that.
and finally. After reading this whole saga (I had no idea there was such drama on CPF), I'm glad that I came to CPF after most of this had already happened or I too might be among the victims. I'm sorry this happened to all of you.

I just found this page. If you scroll about halfway down you can read a little bio about Andrew going to school to and working on an electronic engineering degree and how his profitable hobby took off.![]()

first off, sorry to those of you who got screwed! sounds like this guy is a real ******bag!
has anyone considered creating a website devoted to publicly discrediting this guy until he makes things right? i don't know if thats even legal or not, but i would think as long as you stick to the facts you wouldn't need to worry about slander or defamation of character suit from him. (*no idea if thats right or not) speading the word to his freinds, family, neighbors & business contacts obviously has its challenges. making a website so that anyone that google's his name will see it is cheap & easy!
i use these guys for free hosting! bytehost.com no ads for the webpages, content management pre-installed, 200gigs of transfer a month, free domain name registration, etc...
anywho, just thought i'd toss up the idea! i know it sucks to get burned, but karma will eventually make thigns right! cheers!

Sorry I'm just restating the obvious to be absolutely clear.
AWR and AW (battery guy) is totally two different persons right?

Before you criticise someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticise them, you're a mile away and you have
their shoes.

PLEASE READ!
If any of you sent money vie the USPS postal mail you can turn him in to the US Postal Marshalls. He has committed a Postal Felony and each violation is $5,000/5Yrs.
They DO prosecute and WILL go after him.
Yet another reason NOT to use PalPalHell.
