Default Re: AWR projects- Hotdrivers, Nanos, HD-M6s

    Hi Andrew and All

First thing - Great News Andrew hope all goes to plan from now on with the HD-M6s

Second Lunarmodule had 2 XTN36s but has never replied to any e-mails regarding safe arrival etc. and has never ordered a 4800 pack apparently ? ? ?

Jerimoth has an XTN36 and will shortly be confirming his wishes regarding one of his packs (M6R transfers) my guess would be second one as a 4800 to avoid slowing his first in batch 1 - but up to him and you to arrange of course.

And for those interested I have decided to sell the 2 Black XTN36-Prototypes that I have.

Both functionally identical to final models just slight variation in knurl height/depth.

All the Black XTN seem to have gained, over time, a slight Copper "lowlight bloom" that is of course very attractive !

These people expressed an interest in possible future run of XTN-GREY

    1. nzgunnie
    2. AlexOZ
    X. Lips - Picked one up on the GREY Market
    3X. bakemono 415 - Owner ?
    4X. rdh226 - Owner ?
    5. Razvan
    6. JMJ
    7. Hogokansatsukan
    8. grift
    X. xraydoc ? Now a Black owner ?
    9. gdict
    10. Wooniris

Some are on the AWR 3300 list, some the 4800 list, some may only want Grey, and no doubt some no longer want anykind of anything !

    Others ? may also be interested ? ? ?

    SO

Now accepting e-mails "Why I should get an XTN36-BKP is . . ." in a lot less than 200 words

    Hope this makes sense ?
Anyone have a foolproof method of deciding this fairly ( if more than 2 people actually want one! )

    Cheers Pete

Andrew, I hate to be the idiot of the bunch, but I have read the list message 3 times and don't quite understand it. I see my name in what would be column's B and I. What exactly does that mean in the que?

Also, per several email conversations between us, I want mine optimized for the HOLA (MN21). I ordered 2 packs with drivers and the charger. Thanks.

Petrev, I'm no longer interested in the XTN, sorry. I've been waiting a while for the 3300's and I don't want to change my order now.

JMJ your record is updated for the 21 optimized model. Sorry about the confusion there are actually TWO lists there.. i updated the post to make it more obvious.. the right list is alpha-sorted to help you find your name.. the left list is date-sorted to give a reasonable who's next layout.

cnjl.. i didn't want to expend the horsepower to actually figure out those few dates, i'll wait 'til sometime this week when the batch 1 are mostly or all gone (will just be waiting for the ship confirmation replies) then the graphic will include a shipped column.

you are about 23 down the list yet.. i can't make a good estimate 'til the next batch starts leaving, but i expect batch two to leave by the end of the month.. early april is probably a very reasonable answer to that.

    Hi Andrew -

I'm not sure if you're receiving my emails, so I thought I'd make a quick post to see if you would be able to process my refund? I don't want to clutter things up here, so if you need further clarification, please let me know an email address to which I can send you the relevant information.

    Thanks,

    John

For anyone keeping track of Andrew's promises, deadlines, & such...here's a little background on kubolaw's Nano:

    I bought into Andrew's Nano on 18 Oct 2004.

Here's the data from Andrew's Nano list before I opted out (which was in September 2005 - I'm not sure about the serial number discrepancy, it's Andrew's data):

    52 sigman 19-Oct-04 02:09 19-Oct-04 02:09

Here's a few sniplets, there are more but these are most applicable for the short time I have at the moment to search for the facts.

Sooooo if anyone's interested in #53 (I think that's the one that's listed for me) - PM me. Perhaps I should converse with Andrew first...

Here's my info from Anderew's chart:

    53 sigman 19-Oct-04 02:09 13 19-Oct-04 02:09 32 120 8 128 120 2

So I've got $128 paid out October 18, 2004 for a Nano, upgraded, 3 way, 120 volt charger and an extra battery included in Package 2.

This is one of those "special situations" and I would do the same for you. If anyone has a problem with this and or more folks decide to "jump off the wagon" let me know and we can start a thread in the B/S/T Lights Forum. I just can't sit on it anymore.
I posted more about selling my spot at a loss and 2dim (as well as other members) posted & sent me PMs to calm me down and try to work it out with Andrew (which I had already tried to do with no positive results)...

Eventually kubolaw and I worked out a trade and this is how Andrew treated two of his "appreciated customers".

Andrew - THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! YOU ARE OUT OF LINE AND OWE HONEST PEOPLE THEIR MONEY OR PRODUCT NOW!!

I fronted money to you as did sooooo many others in GOOD FAITH with respect. You owe that respect and good faith back to those who believed in you.

How many THOUSANDS of DOLLARS are we talking? I'm sure you've reported your business to the United States Internal Revenue Service as any good business person would do...

I traded kubolaw in GOOD FAITH for I have honesty & integrity. I was shocked today to receive a PM from kubolaw stating he hadn't received his Nano which was orderd in October 2004!! UNACCEPTABLE!!

I've been relatively quiet because I was able to find a way out early on, but now I'm actively involved because YOU ---> ANDREW have now cast a dark cloud on a deal that I was involved in. Honesty, integrity, a man's word are very valuable qualities to ME!!

No need to draw this one out into any further drama...shut me up by taking care of kubolaw!

Andrew I just wanted to let you know that glennser and gstewart in the list are both me and should ship to the same address.
I don't know if the two orders will be ready about the same time or not but if more than a week apart I've no problem paying for separate shipping on the two so I get the starter kit as soon as possible, like most people I really can't wait to get set up.
    Thanks,

Hi, received HD put in a nice tri-bore with mm's 13.2v pak posts on the kiu too high for 625, switched to pair of shorter ones and it was constant on when completed circuit closing tail cap.

Ohh, was it white. Compared in the night with a 2cM@g with 2x18650's, Phillips 5761, battery pak @8.2v, and M@g85 14500x9 batt. @ 12.2v, the 625 is whiter than 1185 but not much whiter than 5761 to my sees. And the 5761 looked whiter and with about the same throw as the 1185 both using HS reflector.

Unscrewed tail cap for off. Total run time about one min. of several short bursts. Battery pak measured 13.2 and it won't come back.

First thought was battery too low for the HD but shouldn't it run on 13.2v?

I noticed on the side of heat sink in red "185 1185 10.9" with a red check mark about the 10.9 and "HP" in red as well. Did I get the right HD?

Peace love and how do I get this back to you for repair? Jim

Follow up diagnostics upon replacing the HD with stock switch, batteries, and bulb the light functioned as expected in normal fasion. Switch on and it comes on, switch off and it's off. Rules out any problem with the tri-bore body itself.

Tried differant 625 bulb and still didn't work.

That's all the diagnostic methods I know

    Any suggestions? Jim

Hi andrew, Last time I received your email was 15th July 2006 with a email title of nano order confirmation, It has a list of without columns. It goes something like this:

    The person before me:
    "| Kenneth Moeller | 2 | | 11 | 159 | moeman | 23-Apr-05 17:11 | 137 | 23-Apr-05 17:11 | 135 | | 100 | 8 | | 11 | -2 | 117 |"

    Me:
    "| Shi Cheng Chia | | | 11 | 161 | noncpf | 8-Jun-05 22:34 | 139 | 8-Jun-05 22:34 | 137 | 90 | | 8 | | 11 | 4 | 113 |"

    Person After Me:
    "| Paul Hendrickson | | | 11 | 162 | wallyrulz | 23-Jun-05 18:34 | 140 | 23-Jun-05 22:34 | 138 | | 120 | 8 | | 11 | | 139 |"

As You can see, we've paid the full amount in June 2005. Since there is no refund, I would like to know where I am on the nano waiting list at the moment? Which part of the list of names has been shipped? Which part of the list is still remaining? Has anyone paid the $$ in 2005 and still not received the nano yet? If either kenneth or Paul sees this post I would like to know if any of you guys have received the nano yet or not? Heck..If anyone who has paid the full amount after June 2005 and have received the nano, please respond as well, I need to know if I was skipped or is everyone on the 2005 list still waiting. Thanks.

    Hi kry81 Welcome to CPF.
You are not alone in not receiving your light you paid for two years ago. I paid January 5, 2005 and still have no light, despite the fact that Andrew posted he should have the Nanos shipped "Before March".
Please look around in this thread and others concerning this project. You will see a lot of us have been posting "Where is my light Andrew?".

Thanks for the heads up, I just noticed the post about someone not receiving the light all the way back from 2004. oh well...at this rate, I think im moving on. As you guys can see, I'm really new to CPF, what light do you people suggest that is comparable to or better than the nano?
