That's one of Electro Lumen's battery carriers.
    Electro Lumens homepage

If you browse the Custom & Mod B/S/T/ threads here at CPF you will find some of the Electro Lumens adapters for sale.

4 amps? Would I be correct in thinking you need to power a ROP Hi bulb off of 6 AA cells? If that's the case then you may want to consider one of modamag's 6AA to 2D size adapters. It will handle 4 amps without any problems.
You can get modamag's adapters at The Sandwich Shoppe.

    Hi,

bought some of modamag's 6AA and 8AA to 2D adapters but I am now looking for a cheaper version. I need the adapters for Mag 1D LED and Mag 2D Luxeon V Mods - the 4 amps will be needed for a Trible Luxeon V Maglite 4D with a Shark converter.

Unfortunatly I did not find these adapters on Electro Lumens homepage, and I did not find an other CPF member selling them at the moment. I remember that a CPF member sold Mags with Superbulbs and these requested adapters - they run on even higher amps or am I wrong?

Litemania stocks 3AA-1D adapters regularly, though he seems to be out of stock at the moment.

    Thankyou Lynx_Arc for the input.

Hmm I want one that can handle more than 1A.

I have ordered one ShadeSlayer-Fatboy from Elektrolumens
    http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/sho...d.php?t=180067
and want one 3AA to D Cell holder that handles at least 5A.

I'll ordered two D-Li-Ion from Kaidomain a month ago and this 3AA to D Cell holder was ment to be a reserv holder until Kaidomain ship the cells to me.

mdocod's currently busy with the 2x18650 holders but...
    http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=195976

I've been using his holders for Mag85 applications and they seem to hold together under 3 amps

Although second in line, I find his holders to live on par with FM's holders
    Looking, and still looking...

    Hello Illum_the_nation.

    Thankyou for the input.

I didn't know that mdocod build holders, I'll hope he build the 3AA to D Cell holders soon

I noticed earlier FM:s holders, too bad they aren't available now....

I was just at walmart and noticed a new 6AA rayovac flashlight (LED) that has what appears to be a 6AA to 2D adapter in it for about $8 I believe.

Just wanted to add a little here, I read somewhere on CPF that if you solder the 3 little springs to the metal strips they can handle more current, which makes sense as that would be the main points of resistance. [You may wish to remove the parts to solder them, so as not to melt the plastic!!]

I'm sure the metal work could take 5A, it's just how it's joined together that makes the weakness.

Thanks Lynx_Arc for the info, but I live overseas and have trouble to buy from Walmart.

Thanks Essexman for the info about the improvement of the holder.

Thanks Gunnerboy for the offer of the Kaidomain holder but I think it would be cheaper for both of us if I buy it directly from Kaidomain.

I have been making 3AA>1D series adapters for a month or 2 now, if anyone is still interested, they can be found here:
    http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/...d.php?t=195976

I think I have 6 left right now. But can build more soon if needed.
