I finished another Tri-Star bike light, and decided to put both of them on my bike. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif 432 Lumens of amazingly bright light. Powered by 4 D cell nimh batteries. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
I'll be putting one of the two lights up on eBay for sale soon. Maybe both as a system?

I think it would be great if you could put a low and high setting switch on there and even a flasher.

I've pretty much decided to put these up on eBay. I guess you could say they are sort of prototypes, or concept provers.
I went out for a bike ride a while ago, and powered on both Tri-Star headlamps. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif Truly looks like dual car headlamps! No joke! I'm running both 3X3 Tri-Star lamps from 4 nimh D cells. It's so cold outside, they never warmed up at all.
Neat thing about the Tri-Star, is that the tailcap will screw into the head. That's what I'm doing on these bike lights. I add on the heat sink onto the tailcap, and the screw the tailcap on.

Have you decided to put these up on eBay? I couldn't find it on eBay or a link here on the CPF. I'm interested in buying one unit. I hope you plan on building more....
I'm waiting for the Tri-Star to be released. $119.99 is a very attractive price!
