M21-X ordered from Battery Junction!

Any word on when they will get the first shipment?

Also, will the M20-X and M21-X come in the plastic case like the M21 did?

Just saw this on the battery junction website:

ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: Due to a power outtage caused by hurricane Irene, BatteryJunction.com is temporarily unable to ship orders at this time. Orders will be processed in the order they were received upon the power being restored. We will continue taking orders, but please understand there will be a delay in delivery. We appreciate your patience.

Could be allot worse, they could have been underwater or lost their building, so no problem waiting another week or so while their power is restored.

I am really liking these lights. I didn't think that the switch to an XM-L would be that big of a deal, but the beam is a pleasant surprise. It is a great combination of flood and throw.

They could have added another level of intensity change instead of just three as most of the time I am not using them on the highest level, leaving just two other options. In fact a micro "FireFly" 2-5 lumen low level would have been nice too.

I received my new M-20X and M-21X last week and I must say that the Olight M-20X is the absolute BEST tactical weapon light that I have ever seen! The ability to mount it and operate all the controls from the rear is a BIG plus, not to mention the great beam and throw the M-20X puts out.

The M-21X has the beam adjustment by turning the head 1/8th of a turn and back again, which is fine if you have two hands, but impossible with one hand, but it too is a great hand held beam.

I picked one of these up last week but I was a bit confused with the naming of the product. I've seen it as M20-X, M20S-X and M20X-S. Apparently they're all the same but why the confusion? The case says "M20-X" as well as the light that I bought.

As for the light, it's amazing. I took my pup for a "tactical" walk a few nights ago and it was like daylight within 30 ft but also throws all the way down the street. The beam pattern is perfect for anyone that wants to use just one light (obviously no one here :p). The low/med/hi seems to be the right, useful levels.

I like how the strobe is seperated from the normal scroll but easily accesible. The UI is awesome! Scrolling thru the modes with the side button is so easy. The light is well finished and polished. All the edges seem to be deburred perfectly and doesn't feel sharp like some other lights.

The only complaint I came up with is that when you unscrew the tail or head, there's no extra contact with the body and I've dropped the tail cap a few times (thankfully on my lap or carpet).

Overall, it feels like a more expensive light than it is. I'm very happy I got one and will be my primary light when I go camping.

They are not all the same, the "S" in M20S means that the tail has a side switch for level selection, for lights withtout the S you uses the head for level selection.
With the new XM-L led Olight has added a "-X" to the name.
I.e.
M20-X is with XM-L led and uses the head for level selection.
M20S-X is with XM-L and uses a side switch on the tail for level selection.
M20X-S is a typo.

Interesting. My understanding was that the "S" stood for Special Operations. My light is marked on the box and the light "M20-X Special Operations" but it has the side switch.

If you look at the pictures at the start of the thread you can see that all "S" models has the side switch. But you might be right that Olight does mark the light with "Special operations" and not "S"

This really is am impressive tactical weapons light, I use mine for night hunting and it simply does not get any better than this.

Easy to use UI, small size, light weight, great throw and three intensity levels.

The s does indeed stand for the side button.
I have an Olight M20s with the s2 and was wondering if the throw on the new M20X is as long as on my light? Anyone have both or experience with both that can compare the two? I'm also wondering if the new brightness is worth the decreased run time on the 18650 battery. I get 4 hours plus on high on my M20s.

Haven't had mine long enough to run down the CR-123 batteries that shipped with it, but I have three M-20S and a M-20X and M-21X so will soon find out.

As for throw, the XM-L puts out to 225 meters mounted on my rifle, about another 50 meters past the XP-G.

BTW, Battery Junction is have a 10% off sale on both the Olight M-20X and the M-21X this week.

Will the M-21 ever be available with the side switch, or can the M-20S side switch tailcap be installed and functional on the M-21 body?

Hi All,

My dad picked up an M20-X, really cool light! like the beam and the side button is a good UI.

What batteries are people running? anyone compare 18650 IMR to the 3100 AW's? He's running 2x123 primary's, any feedback on which one is brighter or has better run time would be great!

Thanks!

i really like this light! has anyone found a traffic wand that would fit it? if so, I'll have to buy one asap! At only 10 lm low power, i can def use this when working traffic details.

I have been using a AW18650 2600 mAh in my M20-W. I used to use 2 -123a primary cells. I haven't noticed any difference in run times between the primaries and the rechargable Li-ion cells. The brightness of the 3 levels seem to be the same. I have no way of measuring them though. Thanks.
