Hey guys, long shot here but I'm looking to buy at least one 'demo knife', the stainless/aluminum military issue pocket knives. Camillus 1760 and 1763 are the most popular. I don't want the Shrade made-in-china knock off. Ontario Knives makes a modern copy, but I wanted to see if I could find some originals first. New, old, doesn't matter.

Hi,I think I have the knife you are looking for.It has a bottle opener with a little pin coming out the side of the opener,it has a can opener(it says can opener on it,it has an awl looking piece, and finally a blade that is marked Camillus 1968.The handle is marked US,and is aluminum and has square imprints.I have no idea what it is worth,or if this is the knife you are looking for .Thanks,
Joe

That is exactly what I'm looking for! They were going for about $20 when Camillus closed up shop and I don't think they have gone up much if at all. They made about 13,000,000 (thirteen million!) of them and I have seen them at flea markets and stuff i'm just impatient. If you would like to sell it, shoot me an email please! gallonoffuel (@) gmail (.) com

I think that I will just keep it,for $20 dollars. They probably did make 13,000,000 ,but this is from 1968 thats 42 years ago.I would think that it is worth more than a newer model, but I could be wrong.I hope that you find your knife soon.

Understand completely, my father has one he received in the Navy. I also have one my grandfather carried when my uncle brought HIS back from his Navy service. I don't have the heart to carry either of those. Thanks for the reply though!
