Hello all. First I really want to make sure I don't come off in the wrong way or gripy or anything like that, just trying to make sure what I'm being told is expected.
My wife bought me the TK40 for Christmas. I have used it a total of 10 minutes at most. I was getting accustomed to the UI, cycling through the modes and levels, etc. when it just stopped working. I took out the batteries (Hybrids) and checked the voltage on every single one; every single battery was at 1.31V. I placed them all back in, triple checked the polarity, fired it back up and still nothing. I popped in a set of alkaline primaries, triple checked the polarity, still nothing. I cleaned all the threads, nothing. I checked the tail cap switch tightener ring, solid and tight. So now I'm at the point I need to look into a replacement.
I just got off the phone with Trevor at 4Sevens. He's telling me I should send it back to them, they will first try to repair it, and it will take 5 weeks. Is this what I should expect? It sounds like a long time to wait for a brand new light that I haven't even really used. I would think I should get a replacement, but then again I've never had to do this before so what do I know. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
