I am looking for someone who can help make my latest LED fiber optic illuminator wishes a reality. It would be used to provide light for fiber optic applications such as rigid, flexible and video endoscopes that share a common light post-style input. Photos and specs of my previous efforts are available, if not posted here.
The requirements:
1. ULTRA bright (at least 1000 lumens max) using a single-die emitter, but sustainable output. SST90?
2. Smooth, variable brightness UI with a low LOW of no more than 10 lumens. Infinitum style UI or similar?
3. Flexible power, i.e. multiple cell external power pack and AC/DC direct via adapters for AC mains and vehicle 12VDC.
4. Ultra-efficient LED to fiber optic coupling at very close proximity to the source so it can be attached directly to the fiber optic device (endoscope) without using a light pipe.
5. Neutral white emitter for good color rendition.
6. Portable/hand-held, i.e. dimensions no larger than 1 1/2" diameter and 6 1/2" long.
7. Weight less than 16 oz.
What I DON'T need:
1. Waterproof.
2. Hard finish. These would be stored with optical instruments and used under carefully controlled conditions, by professionals.
3. The usual flashlight-style features, i.e. strobe, SOS, etc.
