PICTURE ADDED (http://darelldd.com/sale/trailer/trailer5) Nope, nothing to do with lighting. I just have Utility Trailer that I need to down-size (I don't own anything to tow it with anymore, and I don't do anything where I need this size trailer anymore).

Looking for somebody in Norther CA, cause I'm sure not gonna ship the thing.

Brand: B-Hind-U
I paid new: $1100
Trailer weight: 500lb
capacity: 2000lb
build: Steel structure with plywood sides and bottom. Tailgate hinged, removeable and is meant for loading.
Wheels/tires: 14" REAL trailer tires and pressurized hubs
other: 2" hitch, safety chains, wiring and lighting. Registered permanently.

Fantastic trailer, I just need something smaller. If you're interested, or know somebody who is - gimme a holler. Sale of trailer includes at least one free EV ride as well. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks,

So you don't want to go to the post office and ask if they can pack it up and ship it out to some far away place? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Come on Darell.... ship that thing. I want to see my UPS/Fed-Ex guy drop-a-nut delivering it.

Yeah... it was my favorite Fed Ex guys who managed to bend a type III hitch that I shipped. The thing is rated to tow 5,000 pounds, and they managed to bend it! I wouldn't trust 'em with my trailer even if I COULD ship it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm looking for one too. I would buy the thing if I were within driving distance. I'm in SoCal /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hey, aren't Buy/Sell ads restricted to things small enough to fit in an elevator? (j/k...)

BTW I have some nice Volcano Land for sale here in Hawaii, at least three fully formed lava tubes included, and free shipping if you can wait 7 million years for tectonic plate movement to bring it to your area...haw!

Heh. Yeah, I thought I'd better get my ad in before we start clamping down on stuff like this. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif You could fit a lot of Volcano Land™ into this sexy trailer....

Surefire - couple of things

1. Member Nerd has been searching for you high and low. Have you contacted him yet?
2. It seems like *somebody* we both know must be about to drive from North to South sometime soon.

Doesn't it aways seem like you see stuff for sale when you don't want it, then can't find it when you DO want it? I guess this is just a cruel twist on that idea. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Hey Darell, My Mom lives in Pacific Grove (in the Monterey area) anywhere near you? I need a trailer bt getting it cold be a problem /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Monterey is about 2, maybe 2.5 hours from here. Not all that far. Do they ever travel to Tahoe? If so, they buzz right by my house. I have no way of transporting the trailer anymore, so I'd have to wait for somebody to come by here and get it. Let me know if you think this could work out. Just tell your folks that I'm on HWY 80 near Sacramento on the way to Tahoe.

Well you got me a little curious. Condition of trailer & how are you asking for.

Thanks, Rob...

Well good. That was the idea. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you're near enough to be able to come by and get it, I'm even willing to take some pictures of it for you tomorrow. I just wanted to see if there was any real interest before I went through a bunch of trouble.

The trailer has fewer than 500 miles. No typo. 500 miles. It has been used for short trips to the hardware store, the lumber yard, the dump. That kind of thing. It is in perfect mechanical condition, yet has been stored outside. There is some light surface rust on the the steel, the plywood floor is marine-grade and is in near-perfect condition. If you were to buy a trailer new, after a year of use it probably wouldn't be in as good a shape as mine is in now.

The is the best quality trailer I could find for my needs. The tailgate hinges down and is strong enough for loading anything the trailer can hold, and one pull the to side removes the tailgate completely from the hinges. The trailer also has a tilt-up jack wheel for easy maneuvering while unhitched.

I paid a little over $1100 for it new, and would like to get $650 back out of it. Please email me if you'd like me to send some pictures tomorrow.

I fully realize that hardly anybody will be interested in the continuation of this story, but since I have so much effort invested in it, and since I just had Saaby move it to the correct forum - I'm gonna present it anyway.

First off, when I advertised my "old" trailer locally, it was snapped up for $700 by the first guy who came to look at it. Next I went and bought myself a cute little trailer kit. I've added all kinds of stuff to the bare-bones kit, and once I get the lid made (Friday) it will be complete. But I can't wait, and made this page:

Darell,
Nice job on the trailer. I see what you mean about the glue. You could have used a little more, but I'm not sure where. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif Bet you wish you had discovered about 2 years ago how great it is to have a "water proof" toddler. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yeah... if only she were waterproof in the correct areas...

I purposefully made the trailer ugly so I wouldn't be shy to actually use it. Tomorrow we go tree shopping with. Woo hoo.

Darell....

I have decided to purchase a trailer (and/or kit) instead of buying another vehicle (ie Pickup truck) for all the little around the house hauling jobs one inevitably encounters with homeownership.

Your trailer looks as it would fit the bill...can you provide any info on the trailer and kit so I can start the search for the proper vendor in my area?

thanks !

David
