Well, as if flashlights aren't enough of an addiction, I recently got hooked, like many fellow travelers here, on SAKs. They are beautiful to look at and to handle, made with real quality, and come out of the box sharp as the devil---I recently proved that to the great regret of my left forefinger, which still bears the scar. In the course of pursuing these little jewels, I have taken advantage of some good online deals that required me to buy a certain quantity to get free shipping, etc. So, after stocking up my collection and giving some as gifts, I'm selling off the rest at what I believe are attractive prices to fellow CPFers. Here goes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Alox Cadets. All NIB/NIP. I have 1 red remaining SOLD; 1 gunmetal blue remaining SOLD; $18.50 Final Price: $16.99/ea., shipped.
I've got one more black alox Cadet for sale now. It is NIB, and comes in a box rather than in a plastic display pkg. $16.99 shipped. SOLD
Note: If you bought a Cadet from me on this thread earlier, and buy another one at the reduced price, I'll retroactively give you the discount on the original Cadet as well!
All Cadets are now SOLD.
1)a) Alox Cadet---black "user". This knife is in excellent functional condition, but has some cosmetic blemishes. There is a small section of black rubbed off in one of the upper corners on each side; the blade has a fair amount of scratching---on one side I "experimented" and did make the scratches less deep, but the surface is dulled; and I have likewise played around with putting different tips on the file---currently it is somewhat rounded. $9.99 shipped. SOLD
2) Alox Classic SDs. ("SD" indicates screwdriver tip on the nail file). I have 1 silver @ $16.50 Now $15.00 Final Price: $13.49 shipped SOLD; The silver is actually in a package labeled as a regular (non-alox) Classic, but it is an alox.
(For anyone unfamiliar with how thin the alox models are, the first photo shows a Cadet and a Classic SD next to an AA cell. Note: The alox models give up the toothpick and tweezers in order to attain their sleek silhouette.)
All Classic SDs are now SOLD.
3) Recruits. These are regular black cellidor, not alox. They are NIP. I have 3 @ $13.50/ea., Now $12.00/ea. shipped. All SOLD.
4) Ruby Climber. This is not alox, but rather has the beautiful Vic translucent plastic ruby colored handles. I bought this in used but pristine condition and it has stayed that way. I opened one bottle of wine with the corkscrew, cut a couple of pieces of paper with the blades, that's it. $12.00 shipped. SOLD
5) Emerald Rogue. This is a pretty little knife that I understand is discontinued. I bought 2 and am keeping one, so one is up for sale. It is NIB. The Rogue is the same model as the Rambler, but with a flat screwdriver on the end of the bottle opener (instead of the small Phillips), and with a pointed tip on the nail file (instead of the flat SD tip). Just in time for St. Patrick's Day! $14.00 Final Price: $12.49 shipped. SOLD
6) Alox Bantam. I have cut a couple of pieces of paper with this, that's it. LNIB. Incredibly slim and light, but with a nice size blade and Vic's clever combo tool. IMO, this is the most elegant SAK. Includes box and papers. $16.00 Final Price: $13.99 shipped. WITHDRAWN
7) Alox Soldier. Likewise, I've sliced a couple of pieces of paper with it, that's it. LNIB. Includes papers but no box. This is not the newfangled Soldier, but rather the classic silver alox model. $15.99 shipped. SOLD
