Hi Crodillo,

I recognised your name as I purchased a holster for a 6P from you recently.

A few quick questions for you regarding the Seiko. How old is it? How are the seals - seeing its a 150m diving style watch.

I have a 1991 Seiko 200m diving watch currently that's pretty worn out and I'm looking for a replacement.

Thanks

James....

Hi there!

I acquired the seiko some five or six years ago, but I don't know for how long it had sat on the seller's store. I wore it only a couple of times and put it away. Some two or three years ago, when going through my stuff, I noticed the battery was dead, so I took it to a shop, put in a new one just to make sure everything was in order, took it back out and stored the watch ever since, with no battery inside. I had no reports of any problem with the rings, but in case of doubt I should be able to replace them when I install the battery, before selling. One note though: the watch is indeed rated to 150 meters depth, but I wouldn't call it a diver's watch. It is slim, and in my book diving watches have to be beast-like. :) This is more an aviator's watch.

If you are interested in it, we can agree on not closing a deal until I have the rings inspected, replaced if needed, a brand new battery installed, and check for normal working conditions. The expense for this is naturally on me.

Best regards.

Bekker, shouldn't you be saying BOUGHT? :grin2:

The Suunto is now listed as SPF, because I will only be able to ship it on 4feb and have asked the buyer not to pay me until I'm ready to ship. Otherwise, this looks like a closed deal.

The Suunto watch arrived and it is perfect.
My son has already taken it several times in the backcountry as he climbs to the top of the peaks in the Wasatch Mtns. and then snowboards down.

THANK YOU:twothumbs

:paypal: and PM sent :)

Also, just my opinion but I'd suggest you remove the Paypal email from the previous post.
Or at least disguise it like for example jadiniz at g mail dot com.

Just in case it gets harvested by a bot and you end up on a mailing list :ohgeez:
