This is an opportunity for some to pick up the elusive 6C Maglite. I am currently gathering information to determine the likelihood of actually making this happen. The goal is to keep this GB fun and affordable. I will use the buying power of interested parties (posted here) to obtain a lower price and pass that along to the group.

Posted interest is not an obligation to buy and I will not accept any payment until the lights are in my possession. I will use this information to determine how many lights to obtain.

Currently I do not have details on whether these 6C's will be boxed or enclosed in clamshell packaging. I also do not yet know if they will be "newer"-serial number starts with a "C" or "older"-serial number starts with "number". Price is also unknown. Please post your general interest and I will maintain a list here.

Count me in for one or two depending on costings.. I imagine postage costs are going to be significant, these are not 2 ounce devices. Am prepared to act as a UK Europe distribution point if this turns out to be necessary.

Always interested.

Let see what turns up down under.

7C's would be nice also aswelll as 7D's, but I guess that goes without saying.

Happy to help out here in the UK if required.

I'd probably be in for one. IT seems to get into the really interesting hotwire bulbs, it's necessary to power them up with 5 LiIons, so a 6C mag host wold be perfect for that.

I think most all of this will be determined by price. Nice to have a moderator on board.:)

Well, sort of. There is another member who has access to these but doesn't care to fund/distribute them-understandable. I have offered to buy them all from him and create a GB. The deal will depend on price-of course. If they can be had at a reasonable cost it will allow us to spread the love to CPF.:)

I'd like to get in on this, as long as I don't have to get a second mortgage to pay for it. So far it sounds good. Thanks for putting in the effort to do this.

Wife bought a Red 6D, so I guess I'm in for a 6C in Black(?) if they are less than the recent listing at $60 :faint:.

I may be interested in one if they are at the normal price of a Maglite. If they are higher than normal, I don't think so.

Update: I have not heard much from the potential supplier of these 6C's. A couple of lights here and there, pricing expectedly high. Maybe things will pick up after the holidays. I'll keep you posted.

I said before i wanted at least one, but count me in for 3, screw the cost. I don't care! These things are obviously hard to get so if you want one step up and commit! Might make these easier to get if we get some firm commitments
from people instead of "depending on cost". I'm willing to put money up front to show my commitment. The thought of getting ripped off a couple of hundred bucks if something goes wrong isn't even on my radar! Chump change. Look at the money most of us have spent on flashlights, I own over 100 and want more!

Now step up people and lets make this happen, most of the posts I've read so far tell me you don't really care if you get one or not.

All my love,

Calvin

Pardon the stupid / slightly off topic question, but what is the attraction of the 6C Maglight?

The attraction for most is that the 6C is now one of the many lights that are no longer produced. The 6 cell size also lends itself nicely to modding. That's about it really.:)

7.2 Volts and makes a nice club.

Raoul_Duke

The 6C has a great form factor.
My modded 6C is 16.8V initial voltage and settles to 14.8 for most of the runtime, and just under 2800mAh capacity.
Currently running the Ozram 64623, 10Amp+ current draw at 16V ( not sure of the actual lumens output, but its alot, I would guesstimate around 3000, and sometimes use lower watt lamps for longer runtimes.

As not to drag this along too far, I am stopping this feeler. The supplier/s have been unable to arrange delivery of sufficient quantity at a reasonable price for most. If any new information becomes available I will post here.

+1 Thanks, Will.

So, I'm looking for a pewter 4D. I just thought I'd mention it here before I go to grinding through google results and finding that most of them are chain stores that don't ship overseas.
