I have a M1 Tactical that I recieved this spring from Battery Junction.
The first set of batteries (Panasonic c123) I used eventually gave out after about 1 hour of light, using the high setting on the -2- stage switch. The light flashed several times, and shut off. Not a problem, I was expecting it with full regulation.
Next set of batteries, (Tenergy c123) I noticed that the light stayed one for quite some time, way over an hour. ( I was now using the single stage tactical switch) The light constantly got darker, and darker. It got to the point that I thought that maybe I fried the LED, since I had it on for longer periods of time (15min) without turning it off. I finally replaced the old Tenergy C123's with new Tenergy C123's, and the light level was dramatically improved, like new.
My question is, why did I get a 'lights out' regulation with the first set of batteries, (Panasonic) and an unregulated 'lights out' regulation with the Tenergy?
Did I loose the regulation with this light? Or is it the batteries? I was expecting the light to flash and shut off any time the batteries reached the end of thier usefull life.
Matt, have you seen this issue before? Is this normal? How can I fix it, to get full regulation each time I replace the batteries?
Thanks in advance !
