I've noticed that posting in CPF does not increase your number of posts in CPF MP yet total number of posts in MP was duplicted from CPF to begin with. I think the total number of posts should be linked.

Since CPF and CPF-MP are two different forums that won't happen. The CPF database was used to import all members , old posts etc, but once online CPF-MP was a separate forum with it's own database. Merging them is not an option.

Merging them is not an option....and to further confirm my understanding... deleting subscribed threads in the CPFM won't affect subscriptions in CPF "proper", right? Same goes for PMs. The saved lists (subs & PMs) have been copied on to both forums, but from now on the lists will gradually diverge. Delete PMs on one, they will still be on the other until you delete them there too. And of course if you send a PM on one forum, it won't appear in your PM list on the other.

In effect, the 2 forums are now completely separate - there is just a very fast link to get you from one to the other.
