Just thought I'd let you know in case it hasn't been noticed yet.:)

Thanks!

When I click on 'Search this forum,' nothing happens and I get a message in my status bar stating, "Done but with errors on page."

Are you using FireFox? Do you have scripts enabled?

IE 6.0.

Scripts enabled.

Nothing is different now than before the migration. I'm stumped.

Sorry to say, I also have been having trouble with search function in both CPF & CPFMP. I have tried both IE & FF from several diff systems.

Hmmm, I just tried a basic search for "Surefire" and got this:

on line Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/cpfmarketplace.com/httpdocs/mp/includes/class_core.php3103

Advanced search for "Surefire: gives me this:

on line Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/cpfmarketplace.com/httpdocs/mp/includes/class_core.php722

Thanks for posting Guys. Glad to see it's not only me.

Any other ideas? Not being able to perform a search is really bumming me out.

Thanks!

Sigman, I repeated your search and got:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 40 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/cpfmarketplace.com/httpdocs/mp/includes/class_core.php on line 722

I've gotten similar messages when the search terms are "off" (for some reason), so I changed the terms to something else and got... a blank screen.

Search is working fine for me, both here and in CPF main. If the main search is still not working for you, try the "Search this Forum" button.

There is just so much space alloted for searches. When you do a search of such broad terms, you will get an error message. So narrow the search criteria. Yeah, I know it would be alot better if the error message just came right out and said... "Narrow your search criteria"... but it doesn't. The error message does, however, provide the clue to that.

Meanwhile, it does appear as if Sigman has figured out the issue with clicking on links and getting a similar error message. Go to your profile settings and in options, change the number of posts to show per page. I've adjusted the settings in the admin control panel so you can't go over 50. That should take care of the problem... but my guess is that now I'll start getting complaints that people want to be able to view 100 posts per page. Obviously, the software doesn't want you to do that... or else more memory would be alloted. And no, I'm not going to adjust the memory alloted... that will affect the overall performance of the software and server... and I just don't want to go there again.

I didn't do a thing and it's now working for me. :)

Dutch... yeah... most of these things are working themselves out with time. Just takes patience... :)

Glad it's working for you now...

Get this error when I put in 2-3 search terms, to narrow it down, but not just one. I was looking for the rule on price trashing a bst post but it gave me an error on all attempts except "trash".
