I don't know. I just hope that his page is always available. I've finally just gone ahead and turned it into my homepage. It loads fast. No cookies. No pop-ups. It is my path to CPF and most of the rest of the flashlight world. This is his site:

Of course, when someone makes something excellent there is always someone like me that wants to improve it. It would be nice if some of the Alien Consortium...scuse me...Modifiers had a section on Brock's page for their sites.

Brock is an enigma wrapped up in a conondrum. We don't know if he really exists, but he has sired a progeny recently - so his name will live on.

I too, was directed here originally by a link from Brock's page.

I've said it before, and I'll keep saying it until somebody tells me to shut up: I am Brock's fault.

More like an enigma wrapped up in a Kaiser.

I prefer Croissants myself. A long long long time ago I posted a poll, a battle if you will...Criossant vs. Bagel. Sasha told me put my Bagels in a plastic bag. I still like croissants better.

and now...for your entertainment: Bagels (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=22;t=000429#000000)

[QB]<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Most things called "bagels" are pale imitations of the "real thing". If you've never had the "real thing" and you're lucky enough to find a place that claims to sell the "real thing" you'll know it IS the "real thing by" taking a bite and chewing for a while. If it brings a smile of recognition it is NOT the "real thing". BUT- if it brings an unusually wide smile of discovery, chances are it IS the "real thing".

Note: Some pseudo bagels are baked on premises, so you can't really go by that. Look for the following clues, using a PLAIN bagel as an example:

The outside is golden brown and slightly but delicately crusty. The inside is tender but slightly chewy lending a satisfying sensation of eating "real food" to the experience. Plain "real" bagels may be subtly sweet or not, depending on style and philosophy. However, if your bagel comes in a sealed wrapper of any kind, with ingredients, fats sugars and fiber listed it is NOT a "real" bagel.

Chances are, when you first eat a "real" bagel, you'll know it.

Last piece of bagel advice: unless you finish your bagels, put them immediately in the FREEZER, not the frig. Later, you can toast them up beautifully. If you plan to eat them untoasted later try to do so within 12 hours, 24 if you must, but by then they will have started to get stale. Sasha's plastic bag idea is fine, for a short time.

Also, a fresh "real bagel" is very soft, but still crisp on the outside.

...and i didn't really even like bagels until brightnorm posted that...now i really want one!

Well, I've had a real bagel, and I will admit that a good bagel is better than a bad doughnut. Barely. I've always thought of bagels as doughnuts that didn't quite make it...

Isn't Brock some sort of British agent?

Unfortunatly, after taking this photograph Darell had to turn on the high contrast color scheme on his computer and set the text size as extra extra large so that Kyra could continue to read posts to him and write posts for him...
