Just wondering, I've never heard of HA-IV coating being used, how is the hardness compared to Type III Hard Anodised?

Welcome!

Those are very interesting offerings.

Do the lights have any form of regulation circuit? I assume the Luma-fiying has at least a boost circuit. Anything beyond that?

EDIT: Never mind, found the "English" link on your page. That looks very interesting!

While HA-III's composition ratio is unkown (but Surefire), what we quote HA-IV means better hardness that conventional HA-II also anti-scrach.

Yes, the circuit can fit with 0.8V to 4V AA-size battery. and battery takes direct contact to Al-body which minimized power loss due to material resistance.

There is not such a thing like hard annodized type IV, unless is a different specification than the standard mil-spec MIL-A-8625.PEU, this is what I was able to dig out about Type IV anodizing (http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showpost.php?p=1570426&postcount=11). In simple terms, and AFAIK: it's not better than Type III anodizing (aka HA).

PEU should get credit for wood-coated lights; his quebracho lights are beautiful.

GreenLED: I guess thats not what lumapower implied, please read his very own quote above.

There is not such a thing like HA-II at least not by the milspec A8625, in the milspec type 2 refers to an anodic coating and not a hard anodic coating.

He is probably confused, not well informed or just can't write what he really wants to say in english.

Regarding the wooden flashlight, I didn't patented the idea, I think I just was the first one to produce one...

HAII - No such thing. You mean "Anodize type II".
HAIII - No such thing. "Anodize type III" is correct, or just "Hard Anodize".

Hope that clears confusion up. Those terms get used a lot even though they are not correct and sometimes causes confusion. Type III is Hard Anodize (HA). Anodize typeII is not HA, just type II anodize.
