While we are on the topic, I thought I'd babble a bit:

Arc stuff:

1) AA version of the Arc AAA. Should look as sexy as the CMG and be as rugged. Should accept Li or Alkaline battery.

Market: Outdoors people, and keychains around the world. I would have one on my backpack, keychain, on life vests, etc. Provides good long term task lighting and you don't feel pressured not to run the light because you are worried about burning up batteries. If you are out in the woods or out on the water, you only have as much light as you brought.

Perhaps it also might make sence to do a two AA verion as well, shoot for the mini-maglite market with two barrels (Arc two AA and Arc LS). This one is a little harder to judge tho.

Market: Existing mini-maglite market and other long burn time task lighting.

2) One and two cell D and C versions of the LS.

Market: Replace that pesky 2D Maglite with something a bit more modern. With a single 3V Li battery you got long run time and big shelf life. If you use it all the time you get huge run time with cost effective batteries. Perfect light to walk the dog every night.

3) A multi LED version of the LS (2-3). Probably oriented towards the C and D cell version. Would be best if it had two or three light levels.

Market: Same as #2, but take it up a notch.
Note, it might be helpful to have a multi level output for all the LS models.
SureFire:

1) A Li based version of the 10X, ala M6.

Market: For those who don't use the light quite as much (in the car or such) but want it always to be charged and ready to go. Also, for those who want to be able to reload it when not near power.

2) Add 2-3 LEDs (not LSes) to the existing 10X for ultra low lighting tasks. I know many people will say you probably have another light, but that can be be a hassle some times. I find it would be very handy to have everything in one package. Of course you should always have those backup lights...

Market: When you are out in the dark and don't want the whole world to notice you.

It would be nice to see a modular approach with these things - buy a 10X head and an Li battery case, or rechargable. Perhaps both.

Your style of switches. Push on, clicky, or remote weapon activation.

Perhaps you get the head and your choice of battery case... (2) cell 6V, (4) cell 6V, (6) cell 6V; (3) cell 9V, (6) cell 9V; (4) cell 12V, (8) cell 12V, you get the picture. Same deal with recharables. Basically, pick your voltage and pick your runtime vs size tradeoff.

So, it would be easy to get a head based on the 10X with a 6 cell Li body and a remote weapons activation switch for example.
It would also be interesting to see some HID solutions. This would likely be more for the long range stuff due to the startup time. However, I hear some car HID stuff used to use a second, non-HID bulb, until the light go up to speed. Also, I hear some of the new cars overdrive the bulbs for startup then back off.

HDS Systems:
1) V3 of the Actionlight, perhaps based on LS.

Market: Everyone who wants the current Actionlight. :-)

2) A flashlight version of the Actionlight (V3). Seems like you could keep it one or two D. Should have a non-roll feature.

Market: For those of us that don't have helmets. :-)

LEDCorp:

An improved reflector for the Maglites, optimized for your Pro Series PR bulbs. Turtlelite II beam for reference.

Market: Make it so there is a decent platform to showcase your cool bulbs.
Ok. glad I got that off my chest.-john

Idea for LEDCORP:

make a 2D Aluminum flashlight which uses an integrated 2-cell probulb.
